Not LOWI but a very pleasant Spitfire flight over the east of England

Arrowing out of Stapleford, no destination as yet.

2.ts2.jpg

Over the M25.

3.ts3.jpg

Passing Chelmsford.

4.ts4.jpg

At Silver End with Blackwater in the distance.

5.ts5.jpg

At Earl's Colne airport with Colchester on the right.

6.ts6.jpg

We are at Assington! Yes really, with Wattisham, our destination, just visibule, centre left.

7.ts7.jpg

Not much habitation here but Lavenham is a couple of miles to the right.

8.ts8.jpg

Descending over Monk's Eleigh and Clay Hill Road.

9.ts9.jpg

EGUW Wattisham.

10.ts10.jpg

Lid open and everything off. A great flight in the RTAF Spitfire 18.

Hope you enjoyed the ride over Essex and Suffolk.

Hi Martyn, I should have added to my last post............................

Great to see a 'bubbletop' Spitfire. Did you ever get the ones that JF (I think) released for FS2004? I bought the DVD. A great range of Spitfires. I tried (and failed) to convert the two seater to FSX.

Thanks Paul, a change indeed to see the Spitfire like this.

They told me Gerold it would be all white on the night.

Another freeware plane.

That was an excellent tour Martyn!  I especially liked when you said no destination, those are the good kind of flights.  Man do you know the UK!

Cheers Jack, too many of my flights just take off and just wander.

G'day again Paul, I had very few pay ware planes in FS2004 and the only JF Spitfire I have is the FSX  BoB set with the Bf109 and Hurricane which do work in P3D. This is another freebie, there is a link above and it works easily after changing the prop and canopy files which are included.

Cheers Martyn. That set has the best Hurricane available IMHO.

It looks like it was a fun flight over some great scenery with an iconic bird.

Thank you Sammy, I very rarely fly in the cockpit and have got quite adept flying from the outside without an AP. Just totally immersed at watching the scenery and skies passing by. Take offs and landings are different though.

Thank you Karsten and Sammy for your kind words.
