Finally got my new laptop today after the old one gave up the ghost last week so I am able to post screenies again..........what do you mean OH NO!!!

Anyway, on the Monday the singer Vera Lynn celebrated her 100th birthday.

One of her most famous songs was (There'll be bluebirds over) The White Cliffs of Dover.

So here is a tribute to this famous of English singer.

My father was based at Bletchley Park during WW II. I have always liked Vera's rendition of "We'll Meet Again"; too bad they truncated it at the end of Dr. Strangelove.

Thanks Michael. How interesting to hear that your father was at Bletchley Park and what an invaluable contribution was made by that facility.

A fitting tribute to a great lady that truly helped to bring Britain through the worst time in it's history.. Teecee.

Thank you TeeCee, so many famous entertainers who achieved their notoriety through entertaining the troops.

Thanks so much for your comments.

Thanks John, the old tower cr*pped itself and it looks like they are a thing of the past. When I went to the shop all laptops! I am so glad it was not my FS tower that went west, touch wood, it is three years old and still going.
