Some Swiss Training

Stillwater

Recommended Posts

Sorry, I have to interrupt my Tassie experience for a little winter flying - before my RL shots get outdated. So I joined Swiss International Airlines on their 777 training program from Hanover to Zurich. Get ready for boarding...

... here we go, Rwy 09L today.

This time I got a beautiful "BTW" seat...

... but I had to climb out of the plane to get a better view of Zurich.

Limited views, ...

... but a challenge to fly.

Finally the runway comes in sight.

Gerold I am somewhat disappointed that you did not climb out on the wing to get a better view and shot . Other than that small issue , I did enjoy your RL/Sim post . :P:rolleyes::lol:

Cheers

It is funny what you think you are going to see when you read the title.

I expected to see an RAAF Pilatus flying around Tas but this was a most pleasant surprise as the 777 is always so pleasing to see.

The usual excellent RL/FS shots also interesting to see how the gubbins in the flaps and spoilers are so well replicated.

I told them I need to make some outside shots for posting on Orbx, but the charming cabin crew wouldn´t let me go.

Outstanding, really awsome images. Which one, CaptainSIm, or PMDG?

PMDG, the full workload for me. Except GSX is not working in Hanover for the 777, as there is no gate position officially suited for heavies :(.

Stunners Gerold!  Gosh I love when you mix real with Orbx.

Thanks Jack. The litmus test...

Always a great mix of RL and caps Gerold!

Thank you, Ben. You know it is a bit of work, as you need to find good & comparable perspectives.

Sorry for confusing you with the title, Martyn, I will try to improve.

Also very pleasing to see the 777 so frequently on our local airport. And I am with you, the level of detail in the sim (like the plane in this case) is fascinating.

Super idea on the comparison shots.  Sorry, but Flight Sim was edged out by the real world shots.  But by just barely.

To be honest I also got confused on "which is real, which is sim", as I have some more real (but blurry) pictures that I have redone here (e. g. #3 turning onto the runway) - and I need some time to find out which one is posted here.

Great comparison of RL and sim shots Gerold!

I just try to follow the improvements of simming. A pleasure!
