Jack Sawyer
Nice shot Martyn, and count me in with PDX, what is it? Never seen one before. You guys always come up with some of the coolest planes I have never even heard of. It just goes to show that there must have been literally thousands of different plane designs since the brothers from Dayton took to the skies. andy1252
Yep, a nice one, Martyn. Brittannia? FS9 port I'd guess from the prop effect. Ah, so many 'planes, so little time.

It is indeed the Bristol Britannia, a common sight for me in my younger days. They called it the Whispering Giant, those Bristol Proteus engines made a magnificent smooth sound. Amazing to think they were used by BOAC all over the world. On 21/02/2017 at 5:16 AM, Mark Abdey said: Super pic sir! Thank you Mark. Thanks Gerold, I fished in the Daly many years ago and there were some huge Salties in the river. 23 hours ago, adambar said: That's a daisy of a shot Martyn!
