My next tour took me from Smithton to the small Islands off the northwestern tip of the heart... ... namely Three Hummock Island, ... ... Hunter Island ... ... and Trefoil Island, ... ... before I returned to the bigger landmass at Woolnorth. Down the coast to Marrawah, one of the few settlements in the area, ... ... Arthur River, ... ... and climbing along the Norfolk Ranges ... ... Pieman River, ... ... the Dam with the same name ... ... and the corresponding lake. A view to Ocean Beach... ... and a little detour to Queenstown. The photoreal is still in the disastrous "moon state" left after years of ruthless mining in Mount Lyell, but there is a chance the region may recover over time https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queenstown,_Tasmania . At least King River is not longer directly taking the effluent from the mines nowadays, so the salt deposits may go down. I went down also, over Strahan... ... and into its small solid airstrip.
