I purchased a ring at the Weta studios http://wetaworkshop.com/ in Wellington and searched for a way back. The most comfortable today seems to be the bus. A last view of Wellington... ... and its energy supply, ... ... before we climb out over Kapiti Island. A bird watchers place with limited access for tourists, also very limited for sheep, possums and rats (their populations have been reduced to zero) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kapiti_Island . The island is now the stronghold for some variations of the Kiwi, and surely I did not disturb them with a plane landing. Three other New Zealand icons. Mt. Ruapehu, Mt. Ngauruhoe, and Air NZ. Descending over Clarks Beach, looks like a nice location to live (if not disturbed by planes). The manual final into NZAA´s 05 for the night.
