jlaporte
Hello, There is an issue with Antelope island and the Great Salt Lake (Utah) in general. My issue is for example on antelope island, the whole south eastern side is connected to the land by a salt bed while in real life there is water (granted not deep). I can see that google map is providing the same information but it is not accurate (i live there). The inaccuracy didn't bug me too much until I got in the KSLC beta team. This scenery is using photoreal textures and because of the inaccuracy of the Vector data compared to real life imagery this area is awfully rendered. We tried to correct it but more imagery would mean an extremely big scenery and more VAS usage. Would it be possible in an update, to revert the Great Salt Lake or at least Antelope Island to the shape it has in FSX and default P3D, which is more accurate than the vector rendition? Thank you for reading and your consideration.
Scott Harmes
Google Earth imagery dated 2016: Perhaps you or someone else could make a small PR area including Antelope Island to try and blend the KSLC scenery and FTX Open LC and Vector. Cheers,
jlaporte
I understand but this picture is from July, so when the lake is extremely low. Also most of this area is water, though not more than a foot. In the winter the level raise a bit.
