VH-KDK Posted December 18, 2016 Share Posted December 18, 2016 Flying in the Dash-8 to Block Island from KMMU Morristown. 1. Departing the FTX Global freeware airport KMMU. 2. Passing over the Hudson at Yonkers, a bit off course as I had to insult the manual to find out how to activate the GPS 3. Long Island Sound. 4. Below are North Port Bay and Duck Island. 5. Shoreham Nuclear Power Station and Calverton Air Park. 6. Looking back at Shinnecock Bay at Southampton. 7. Now approaching Block Island. 8. Crossing the coast at Stevens Cove 9. 10. The stone walls remind me of Northern England. 11. 12. Not the best landing (not many of them are but I did get it on the black stuff) as I was worried the Dash 8 would not fit in here but only needed half the runway.
