The Rural bit. Ruhr flight part 2

VH-KDK

Recommended Posts

The second instalment of my flight along the Ruhr Valley.

11.RU1.jpg

Now departing Arnsberg Menden. Turned out to be a perfect flying day after a cloudy morning.

12.RU2.jpg

Plenty of railways in the valley and Wickede has it's share.

13.RU3.jpg

An abundance of flat farmland on the way to Frondenberg

14.RU4.jpg

Now at Delwig and starting to descend for the next change of planes.

15.RU5.jpg

Hengsten Opherdicke is in sight, another delightful strip that is new to the FS world thanks to GEN.

16.RU6.jpg

The Drifter crossing the A45 at Wandhofen.

17.RU7.jpg

Now at Boele. Look at the road by the starboard wing. Hengsteyestrasse forms a loop to get down the steep cliff passing under itself before crossing the Ruhr.

18.RU8.jpg

Now getting more industrial at Herdecke with the Cunokraftwerk facility dominated by it's huge chimney.

19.RU9.jpg

Over the A1 and a massive marshalling yard between Hagen and Wetter. Heading south to find the next strip to land at.

20.RU10.jpg

A short distance from the Ruhr and close to Hasperbach is Hagen Hof Wahl strip.

Hope you are enjoying the trip. The last instalment to follow soon.......

Yes!  Enjoying it very much Martyn.  These kinds of shots are my favorite, especially with the narration.

Where do you want to land Martyn! Emergency? Ahh noo, that is an airport down there! Crazy... A-OK sequence of caps from a typical German landscape!

Thanks Erik. Plenty of short flights to try a variety of planes.
