VH-KDK
Apart from being quieter, more reliable, more efficient, easier to maintain and availability of spares I cannot understand why anyone would take a perfectly good, noisy, smoky, oil leaking piston engine, especially a radial and replace it with a turboprop. Turbo Beaver, CL-415, Turbo Goose, Turbo Otter to me that is sacrilege. Today I made an exception and installed the Cessna 206 Soloy. So here is a flight from EDXG Melle Gronegau to EDWF Leer Papenburg 1. Chose the 5 bladed prop in this sky dive version complete with a local rego. 2. Leaving EDXG in the overcast. 3. At Ostercappeln with The Wiehengebirge Ranges in the distance. 4. Near to Damme with some pleasant Autumn shades. 5. The Kusten Canal. 6. The broadcasting towers near Ramsloh. 7. Passing over the A28 on the outskirts of Leer, Lower Saxony. 8. In Australia we normally have a bloody huge gum tree on the threshold of the runway but in Germany they have HT power lines, wind turbines and communication towers in the airports vicinity. They must look pretty lit up at night. 9. A nice smooth landing at Leer Papenburg. 10. A beautiful plane to fly, I like it. Just a bit harder for me to taxi, shall have to practice. Hope you enjoyed looking.
John Venema
Lovely shots, a nice time of the day too with those shadows. I love your cumulus clouds set, no saggy bottoms; what clouds are you using?

PDX Flyer
As the piston version plane says to the turboprop version: My, what a long snout you have my friend.
Jack Sawyer
Very nice Martyn. Good point, I never even knew they did this to this plane. It looks very different with a turbine under the hood, I'd love to look under the hood in real life and see how they did it. I wonder what they did this, extra speed? Fuel? Just because they wanted to? All very interesting.

A long nose indeed which was surprisingly easy to see over. 5 hours ago, Jack Sawyer said: Very nice Martyn. Good point, I never even knew they did this to this plane.
