David Nordberg
Hi guys, after installing Global, vector, openLC, trees HD, [and as16, pmdg 737] my sim looks like this: See the black textures? Clean p3d install, everything latest version. I read about finding a backup of terrain.cfg but I have no such file where it was supposed to be. See video I also made:
David Nordberg
Well, now I uninstalled and started reinstalling the whole simulator hoping that will solve it. Hours of work ahead now
Holy Cheese
Usually those types of black textures are caused by having the Frozen Surface ticked in the Vector Configuration tool under the tab Water Features. Make sure to untick this when your new install is up and running. Cheers Jack

Airwolf
Hey, I am getting these too but I only have openlc-EU+NA, Global/Vector and Pilot FTX installed. But getting these black textures in summer. I thought p3d 3.3.5 fixed the black water texture. I will try again with mentioned suggestion
Nick Cooper
The black textures and the water full of trees are both symptoms of the frozen water in winter option being ticked. The water does freeze in winter but in other seasons, the setting causes these problems. I have no idea why and there seems to be no effort to fix it, so it is best turned off.
