Fancied some wide open spaces so it's off from Alice Springs to Ayer's Rock. And I've found the perfect plane for the ride! Taking off from Alice flying north over the town This is a fine looking plane. It's free from the Ford Tri-Motor site and comes with loads of liveries. Out from Alice now, about to turn round and head for Ayer's Rock And after a while - Heading over to the airport, will swing past and turn back for an approach and landing Did actually land ok, if admittedly with the sim running at slowest speed, but it took ages to stop the beast rolling. Don't know if that's a characteristic of the real aircraft, or just the model. Or I may just have been doing it wrong. Anyway, with the help of slew mode I eventually parked up ok. Got a couple of hundred yards of hedge to deal with next, and another flat to fix up, so don't anticipate a huge amount of flight time. And this is supposed to be retirement?
