Jack Sawyer
Making a ferry flight from the Ukraine to Alaska. Orbx Global, both LC's, Vector, and many FAT regions. I'm landing at some places I'd never usually land on the way but it seems almost all of them have water running uphill on the edges of the runways. Here's two. Oops, no coords so it was CYSK. Thanks for any help. Jack
gaab
Welcome to the usual FSX airport "plateau effect". By design, all airports in FSX are horizontal, but when the surrounding land is sloping you get this kind of effect. On one side the airport seen by FSX must be higher than the actual ground in order to avoid a sunk runway on the other end... Except for specially modelled airports, you will encounter this phenomenon all over the word... And when there is water, you get a waterfall ... Jack Sawyer
Thanks Gerard but it's P3D which I guess is still the same. Not a problem, I can live with it. Must be an underground river under these airports!
