A quick tour round the harbour in the PBY5 to check on the fleet. Ready to go, as the sun goes down -

ASN live weather, REX, the Aerosoft Catalina and most of all - SCA. One of my favourite planes in one of my favourite places. And a wonderful evening as well. I feel a beer coming on.

Holy cow!  Number 10 looks exactly like a photo.  Very nice set of screenshots.

Is that P3D?

Looks like SCA is now on my short list.

Thanks folks,

Like I've said elsewhere, with the systems and software and products out there today it's possible to get an amazing visual environment now. I have sort of been waiting for the PC environment to be able to do this, and now it can, I just love it. I know there's plenty of folks who are more concerned with the actual flying part of all this, and I respect that absolutely, but for me it's the realism of the environment that does it. Products like the Orbx regions and airports running under P3D (especially since 3.2) create an almost dream-like environment. I'm sitting in front of a 40 inch 4k screen watching all this and it really does take my breath away sometimes, and when I bother to stick the headphones on and get TrackIR running, it is just so impressive (and not trying to show off about the monitor etc, again - it's just my bias).

So yes, JS07, it is P3D and I heartily recommend it. For my purposes (being visually convincing), FSX can't touch it.

To infinity and beyond! (now where did I hear that?)

Very nice Andy!  I thought about P3D but every forum I go to I see so many people posting problems with this or that add-on not working I thought it wasn't worth the trouble.  I might someday but it would cost me a lot of money and time.

I'm also going to wait and see about this new DG sim.  Especially since ORBX is behind it all the way.  With ORBX scenery alone it'll be worth admission, to me at least.
