VH-KDK
Time to wheel the trusty old SAAB 340 out for a flight from Kastrup EKCH to ESSA Arlanda. 1. 2. Cannot work out why the SAAB wants to fly to Starboard all the time. Problems on the ground too! 3. No handling problems once AP is engaged. 4. That bridge again. 5. Windfarm off Amager East. 6. Now discovered only the port fuel tank has fuel, should have checked before take off. 7. 8. 9. Descending into the murk. 10. Finally a view of the runway, plenty of time to land. 11. Well down the runway but the SAAB stops very quickly. 12. 13. 14. Full service on the apron along with the flight attendant with huge traffic cones. Hope you enjoyed the flight, managed to tear myself away from the Texan for a while.

Stillwater
Great weather shots, plus interesting story. And good that you did not try to land on some of these numoerous roads along the runway. The 8Q-400 is very sensitive on rudder trim, doesn´t the Saab have the same function?

gumbypickett
Nice KDK. I also have the SAAB and find it good to fly, but it beats me how that flight attendant can go from one company to another so quickly. And yes they are huge cones (: cheers gumby

Orbxtreme
Very nice shots! As for your trouble with the Saab, I have a quick fix: cut the engine completely on the other side, it will solve your problem immediately. Cheers John Thanks John, I guess I was in too much of a hurry to get into the air to check trivial things like fuel! Never had the problem before Gerold, there is rudder trim but once the AP was engaged it flew fine. With all the forest surrounding ESSA I had to go for the runway this time unlike my emergency in the Texan where I was able to find a suitable field. Lucky to see the runway in those conditions. I shall ask the co pilot to give this a go next flight and I will advise him from the ground as to how well he is doing. Many thanks to you all for your wonderful comments. Glad you enjoyed the flight.
