Jeff Cotter
Help! I've installed both FTX Australia and PNW on my machine (running P3D v3). The terrain for Australia looks great, but looks pretty bad for anywhere within the PNW region. It looks like there's a mixture of OrbX terrain and default terrain or something (screen shot attached). I don't see anything like that for the Australia region. I'm setting the active group appropriately with FTX central before loading P3D, but nothing seems to help. Interestingly, if I use FTX Central to set the active group to North America and then go to Australia in P3D, I see similar mixed up terrain, which is why I'm wondering if FTX Central is not working properly when I set North America as the active group. Has anyone else had similar problems? Is there some sort of bug with PNW, or am I doing something wrong? I'm reluctant to buy any more OrbX terrain if there is some sort of basic issue with running multiple regions .
Holger Sandmann
Hi Jeff, actually, the parties responsible for that "bad looking" terrain would be the respective forestry departments. See http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/17718-this-part-of-flying-in-pnw-concerns-me/?p=155423 Cheers, Holger
Jeff Cotter
Thanks for your reply Holger (I must say that I'm pretty impressed with the prompt support that you guys provide). At least it's good to know that it's not a bug. Regards, Jeff
