jc4276 Posted July 26, 2015 Share Posted July 26, 2015 Hello, I just purchased Global Base and when working my way through the installation process the program hangs up during unwrapping. Nick Cooper Posted July 26, 2015 Share Posted July 26, 2015 Sometimes this is caused by a lack of free space on the C: drive and/or in the assigned temp folder. jc4276 Posted July 26, 2015 Author Share Posted July 26, 2015 Thanks Nick. My C drive has well over 150 GB's available and only houses my OS. I have a dedicated FSX drive that has over 350 GB's available and another storage drive that has over 250 GB's so space should not be an issue. I'm not familiar with how unwrappers work so I'm unsure about the temp folder solution you suggested. How do I locate the temp folder and what can I do to create space in the temp folder? In addition, Global does not appear to be any larger than a region so why am I having unwrapping issues all of a sudden! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Nick Cooper Posted July 26, 2015 Share Posted July 26, 2015 It perhaps isn't a space issue. Do you have any kind of antivirus software? Here is how to check where your temp files are, I have already moved mine. As a start, you could go to the location shown to you and delete the contents. Some files will not be deleted, skip them. and you can amend the location if you wish, using the Edit function. Perhaps you will need to just wait, as some customers seem to have had to. jc4276 Posted July 26, 2015 Author Share Posted July 26, 2015 I cleaned out the temp files and apparently I set mine up to go storage drive to save writes on my OS SSD. I use Microsoft Security Essentials as my anti-virus. I re-ran the installer and it is still hung up at 80%...its been running for 25 minutes now.
