  1. I'm really enjoying the new beta (XP11.50b15). Vulkan seems to be able to cope well with a variety of weather and lighting conditions. The following pics were all taken over my usual test area (when not in NZ!!): Gloucestershire - Orbx TEGB (South). The first aircraft I ever flew in: Aiming for the Severn Estuary: En-route to the Channel Islands: The lighting for these pics was set up using Reshade and LUT tables - many thanks to @renault for all his help and patience . For anyone interested in the procedure, I've started documenting my experiments here: https://www.nzfsim.org/shaders/xp11-shader-tweaks/ Adam.
  2. I recently upgraded all my Orbx US TE regions from SD to HD. I must confess that I am more than happy with the results.
  3. Some days ago, I asked @renault if he opted for SD or HD TE sceneries. He told me that he went HD all the way. I was still using SD versions basically because of my lack of disk space, and also because SD sceneries loaded faster and showed better FPS. Now we have XP11.50 with Vulkan, which makes things work in a very different way. So I bought a new external SSD and decided to give HD sceneries another try. I am extremely happy to report that Orbx HD regions are now running on my PC around 40-60 FPS, without any stutters. The quality and the details of these HD sceneries are totally jaw dropping. It makes all the experience of virtual flying much more immersive. These are my first shots of TE South Cal HD:
  4. Here I continue my explorations of the TE HD territory
  5. There is so much to see and discover. It's like exploring in real life. This week things got much better here: 1) I was able to install the HD version of TE US sceneries. 2) I installed XP Realistic 2, which makes XP11 so much more immersive. XP realistic 2, combined with the stunning quality of Orbx sceneries, bring simulation to another level.
  6. Second part of TE South California HD:
  7. If i´m not "flying" over towns, fps with the 1.50b VULKAN are around 40 & 50. Active sky ON. Very satisfied.
  8. Testing Popham with XP11/Vulkan. What a wonderful airfield....
  9. The Boeing 738 Max Freeware aircraft for XP11. I saw this on a social media page then went and got it. Looks and sounds well. If anyone is interested i will post a link (if that is allowed)? Seen here departing out of Orbx Edinburgh wit Orbx TE North. 96245513_1652473904957435_2391106347786567680_o by Philip Whitehead, on Flickr 96285056_1652474028290756_1406271983196307456_o by Philip Whitehead, on Flickr 95885626_1652474101624082_5520840400677371904_o by Philip Whitehead, on Flickr
