Can somebody explain to me why the frame rates when flying over USA are much lower than above Europe or Asia. Configuration is the same, plane is the same and I have no more than the standard ORBX scenery for the US. Difference is easy factor 2. Appreciate your reactions.

Hello X-Plane fans! You've asked for it, so we've done it - from scenery legend Bill Womack, we are excited to announce KVUO Pearson Field for X-Plane! Among all the small Pacific Northwest airports that are loaded with character, Pearson Field stands out. For one thing, it predates them all; KVUO is officially the oldest continuously operating airport in the region, and one of the two oldest operational fields in the USA. Even before the dawn of aviation the site was a hub of activity, as evidenced by the 19th-century Hudson's Bay Company fort and trading post just off the threshold of runway 8. So far, the tiny airport has hosted the first crossing of the Columbia River by airship in 1905, been a stopover on the US Army's first round-the-world flight, and made Russian aviation history as the landing spot for the Chkalov Trans-Polar Flight in 1937. Today, Pearson Field is a popular field for GA pilots and history buffs, and occupies a prime piece of real estate along the banks of the Columbia in the flight path of KPDX's runway 10L. We've worked hard to replicate the feel of this busy suburban field using hundreds of photos taken on-site. Many of the unique landmarks are represented, including the I-5 bridge between Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington, the railroad bridge just downstream, the busy shopping area of Jantzen Beach on nearby Hayden Island, and a faithful reproduction of downtown Vancouver. If you're a fan of Pacific Northwest airports, this one is a must-have! Points of Interest: I-5 bridge over the Columbia river Railroad bridge to the north of I-5 bridge Jantzen Beach, Oregon shopping center Downtown Vancouver, featuring the round Smith Tower (used as a VFR landmark on which to base turns to/from KVUO) Fort Vancouver Key Features: 12 square miles of photo terrain around KVUO, including Hayden Island, Oregon and downtown Vancouver, Washington Detailed reproduction of downtown Vancouver Detailed modeling based on hundreds of reference photos Airport ground polys utilizing XP11 PBR materials Static aircraft commonly seen on the ramp Detailed & accurate buildings in the region of the airport, especially on approach paths All models optimized for high performance KVUO Pearson Field for X-Plane will be available to purchase from OrbxDirect for AUD $32.95 (approx. USD $24.35 / €21 / £18.60 ) Please note that if you already own KVUO for FSX/P3D, you get a 40% discount on the X-Plane version! Coverage area map: Here are a few screenshots from Emmsie. Don't forget to stay tuned here and on our Facebook and Twitter pages for plenty more shots over the coming days!

I have couple of days ago downloaded the pak for America. There are some important airports in USA that the minute I taxi, needless to say when airborne they flick all the time, not being a smooth flight making the operation impossible. It only happens at vey important airports such as Kennedy in NYC,Miami in Fla or Los Angeles in California. The rest of the airports I tried so far don't show up this problem and the flight is very smooth. Obviously I use the same settings for all of them. With the Europe pak I also have I don't have this problem. Why is this?? thank you

I have developed a set of simple spreadsheets listing all (I hope) freeware airports released through 9-7-15 for the United States, Canada and South America. You can access the USA airports here. The Canada/South America airports are here. I find these spreadsheets useful in flight planning. Might this topic be pinned?

Hi folks, this time continuing the trip from Pierre Regional Airport heading towards Sturgis Municipal Airport. This morning was extremely windy with squalls up to 30 knots! After landing there was some time to take pictures from the cockpit. A Beech King Air and a Beech Baron took off after I left the runway!

Hi everyone, two pictures from the state border between North and South Dakota shot at 10,000 ft. See the repetition of textures? And actually there's almost nothing but agriculture in that part of the country, which isn't the case in these two shots, obviously... Well, openLC NA USA is on its way! Hurray! Greetings,
