  1. Happy Saint Patrick's Day and Slainte Virtual Tour of Seven Castles in Ireland The Castle Scenery is freeware from Daniel Florentin. He specifically adapted this scenery for Orbx Scenery Europe EU Ireland. The castle are shown in this order: 1.Kilkenny 2.Cahir 3.Blackrock (Cork) 4.Limerick 5.Carrygafoyle 6.Donnagore 7.Listowel His scenery is available for download on AVSIM: ‘Ireland-Castles_pack_01.zip” and “Ireland_castles_pack_01_2.zip” I included actual pictures of the castle to show you the excellent reproductions Daniel produced. Mr. Florentin also included night textures that are also shown in this video. I am retired and a hobby flight simulator enthusiast user name Polymerman, Please subscribe to OVER YOUR HEAD PRODUCTIONS channel for new releases at .https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCu_zeEUvH6_33EI0tuBTfRw This is a non-commercial hobby youtube channel. 2. Welcome to Dublin for MSFS2020! Dublin Airport (ICAO: EIDW) is an international airport serving Dublin, the capital city of Ireland. It is operated by DAA (formerly Dublin Airport Authority). The airport is located 7 km (4.3 mi) north of Dublin City Centre in Collinstown, near Swords, Dublin. In 2018, over 31.5 million passengers passed through the airport, making it the airport's busiest year on record. It is the 13th busiest airport in Europe, and is the busiest of Ireland's airports by total passenger traffic. It has the greatest traffic levels on the island of Ireland, followed by Belfast International Airport. The airport has an extensive short and medium haul network, served by an array of carriers, as well as a significant long-haul network focused on North America, the Middle East and East Asia. It serves as the headquarters of Ireland's flag carrier – Aer Lingus, regional airline Stobart Air, Europe's largest low-cost carrier – Ryanair, and ASL Airlines Ireland, together with another two airlines, CityJet and Norwegian Air International. United States border preclearance services are available at the airport for U.S.-bound passengers. Shannon Airport is the only other airport in Europe to offer this facility.
  3. I notice that the crossed-out runway at EIGM appears and disappears repeatedly on approach and when landing... is this a terrain issue? I use a recommended 5 m mesh resolution. EIGM.kmz
  4. Hi all After installing FTX global, vector, EU, & Ireland this is the order into which it loaded into my fsx. Should I leave it the way FTX installed it or do I need to change the priority of any of these items. I have no other scenery addons/airports, just default fsx scenery files and the above ftx products Thanks as always Mick ftx.docx
  5. (Images reduced from 5760 x 1080 resolution. For best view, click on image to enlarge it) Orbx – Global: Base, Vector, HD Trees, Open LC Europe; EU Ireland (May also include REX and/or REX4)
  6. FTX Ireland It's all the rage, the new Plane-O-Copter, unless you are west of the Mississippi River, then it's called the Heli-Plane. I thought I was creating a flight from one Ireland airport to another. But little did I know that the first leg was at a heliport. I still took the screen grab, as the location looks great. Nothing wrong with your picture, I've had to increase color resolution because of old age.

  8. Hi, I purchased and installed Orbx EU Ireland last night however when I downloaded the software and installed the Ireland pack it did not activate it on FSX SE. Anyone know how I need to activate it or what process should I follow to get it going. Kind Regards, Conall
  9. From the sale. Have avoided Ireland all this while, but in a sale - I'll take it. Started in Cork, and the weather is just what I'd expect Getting too mizzy, so headed for Norway instead - ENNO looks like another wet one, but let's give it a go Damn! Still mizzy. I'll try one more place with real weather then maybe I'll have to fake it. Let's try Shoreham - Ah, sunshine at last! That's more like it! And my thanks to Ron Attwood for the repaint.
  10. The Irish national airline company 'Aer Lingus' is colored meanly in green and match also the major colour of the typical Irish country:
  11. Hi Could any of you please post a screenshot of Kinsale and/or Carrigaline from FTX Ireland? I would appreciate it. Ideally before 1st Jan when the sale ends :-) Kinsale: https://www.google.ie/maps/@51.7052708,-8.5130463,14z/data=!3m1!1e3 Carrigaline: https://www.google.ie/maps/@51.8156379,-8.3870469,14z/data=!3m1!1e3 Many thanks in advance
  12. Hi Everyone I've just bought FXT Global+Open LC. Quality of textures is great! I'm really happy with that aspect of the product. I fly mainly in Ireland and I've noticed that position and size of some towns are inaccurate or they are completely missing. On the other hand positioning of another places/towns/village is very accurate. Could you look at the screenshots below and let me know if you see the same textures at those places? First I want to check if that problem is general or rather specific to my installation of FSX I'm going to use two examples near Cork to show what I mean. 1. Kinsale: https://www.google.ie/maps/@51.7063272,-8.5240677,2705m/data=!3m1!1e3 It looks that whole town is missing: Here is google earth image: 2. Carrigaline: https://www.google.ie/maps/@51.8157123,-8.3893933,3829m/data=!3m1!1e3 Clearly the town is not shown accurately: Google Earth Image: Tom
  13. Got Ireland installed this evening, and wanted to take a flight between Ireland and Northern Ireland. Ended up with a TON of screenshots, but was able to pare it down to a paltry 18. One of them will go to the screenshot contest as well. Enjoy!
  14. I have done a lot of searching to find out WHY I am receiving spikes and low FPS in Ireland. Spikes of 4 to 8 FPS for a duration of 3 to 5 seconds cycling between 15 and 20 seconds are constant while sitting on the tarmac at EIWT or flying. Also the FPS are exactly half of my FPS at Bonner's Ferry. The average FPS in IR is 20. My FPS in any other graphical enhanced area is never under 40 with averages into the 50's. I have reloaded! I have installed the v1.20 for Global patch. For me, it is impossible to enjoy this beautiful scenery.
  15. We're working hard behind the scenes to make FTX Ireland as realistic as possible. This is a list of the upcoming POIs outside Dublin.
