  1. Launched from NAS Miramar in Dino Cattaneo's freeware Tomcat, for to try to make TacPack work. No joy in the P-38 despite two days effort . SWOLF-SEVEN departure using the MOUSE transition--in other words, 2000 foot hard altitude, 255º out to the coast, essentially to keep the noise down for the rich folks in La Jolla. Then out the W-291 for some yankin' and bankin'. San Clemente Island, home of the folks whose job description is, "Kill people, blow shit up" was right where it was supposed to be in the haze, but there was KC-135 tanker out there somewhere and we never did find it. We did, however, see the Nimitz under us and couldn't resist a coffeecup-jerking Mach 1.3 flyby right at PRIFLY eye level. That 2000 foot hard altitude is mandatory, and allowed me, in my 1929 biplane to stooge around down by Torry Pines at 1500' and wait for targets of opportunity coming out at 250 knots. Rolled in behind an F/A-18 and was close enough at just over 2000' away to see him wave. Or maybe he gave me the finger. Not sure which.
  2. This is the view from the tower, if I remember correctly. No time to wave!

Sandnessund bridge in background. 2. I did five 35nm tight circuits of the surrounding islands at around 100-300 feet AGL holding approx 0.7 Mach. Wonderful fun. 3. 4. A bit of a size comparison (Taken later down at Kiruna ESNQ) 5. Here is the route taken (Plan-g) [in case someone is counting, there were five separate tracks when I zoomed in] Thanks for viewing.
  5. Having some fun in Dino' s freeware F-14 over Ireland. These are some old pictures from way back in the days of P3D v2.2/3 I hope you enjoyed them, Gav
