  1. After switching to FTXCv3 I did some basic test tours, the obvious one in Papua New Guinea was just an easy trip from Jacksons... ... climbing across the mountains near Isurava ... ... to Kokoda, dropping some spare parts for a broken lawn mower that was reported from here. But that report was a mistake, they needed the parts in Tapini! So here we go again... ... working hard to get over these ridges without burning the Twotters engines. Trust your pilot! Dropping down into Tapini (the Twotter is not easy to be slowed down when descending), ... ... and climbing out soon after the mower service was completed. Scenery & effects work.
  2. Port Moresby, up at sparrows fart (6am) for a coffee, duck into the tower FPO to check weather reports ok, lodge a flightplan, and load fuel, 3 hikers going up to Kokoda this morning for a trek All ready and humming, waiting at the holdshort for runway clearance, its a busy morning in POM Rotating and lifting away Wheels up Climbing and climbing Tracking through the Gap, few clouds, should be ok Slowly letting it down with plenty of space Parked up watching the rain, waiting for two folks going to Mt Hagen, then picking up a package and heading back to Moresby
  3. Welcome to Papua New Guinea! So we had to transport four people today, two needed to go to Kokoda, and the other two to Emo Mission. Since our C206 needed to be serviced, we took the faithful Skywagon. At company hangar at Jacksons Airport And off we go! Take off from Port Moresby A second before touchdown at Kokoda Field Entering the Emo Mission valley A quick look at the beautiful waterfall before making a sharp turn to the right to line up with the strip at Emo Mission Watch your speed, you don't want to bump all over the place! Welcome home! Emo Mission is peaceful, I will have a cup of coffee before heading back to Port Moresby
  4. My new SSD arrived, so I can finally get around to installing all my new airports Here are a few first impressions from Monterey Port Moresby Kokoda And Fairoaks to Southampton (and "oldie") Just scratching the surfaces here, making sure that the installs are OK. I still have a whole batch including Seiku waiting for me Cheers Mallard (cropped DX10s, nothing else)
  5. What a great scenery you guys have created here. A full size international airport only a short hop from Aussie and then change to a small plane for a fun flight up the Kokoda trail. RW weather made for some interesting landigs on some of the landing strips. Ground speed was down to 20 knots with a 35 knots headwind. I did bend a few Cessna's trying out all the strips. The Cessna used was a C182 Turbo. Strait V-keys, DX9 and no mods. FSX, REX essential OD and ASN for weather. Cairns to Jackson with Air Niugini: The Bush run starts off from Kokoda following the trail down to the meadows and then a right turn into the valley where the challenge begin. If you made it this far, thanks for watching. By the way; each strip has a lawn mower to keep the runways in good condition )
