  1. From Brough actually which is very close to Hull. 1. Home of Blackburn Aircraft, then BaE, now shut with plans to redevelop the airfield away from aviation. 2. Flying down the Humber Estuary past the Humber Bridge, once the longest suspension bridge in the world. 3. The power station and chemical works at Salt End. 4. More industry at Immingham on the southern shores of The Humber. 5. The Dock Tower at Grimsby. 6. At North Sumercotes 7. Mabelthorpe 8. Skegness, another holiday resort. 9. The south west corner of The Wash with the River Welland and Boston (no, the original Boston Jack!) in the distance. 10. At Corby Glen with Bourne just visible. 11. Over the threshold at Cottesmore. 12 Parked up at Cottesmore. Great flight down the Lincolnshire coast, hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
  2. 1. The LAPE DC-2 taking off on rwy 10. 2. Passing the rather stylish terminal and apron. 3. I think the correct designation for the plane is the C-42. 4. At Durrango. 5. Skirting some thunder storms at Parroquia de Bidania mountain. 6. Passing the E7 at Canfranc. 7. Over the Monte Perdido National Park close to the Greenwich Meridian. 8. Staring the descent towards Seo de Urgel Airport. 9. The weather cleared when I turned off ASN as the clouds were hiding the scenery. ORBX weather #2 was used for the clearer part of the flight. 10. On finals for LESU. 11. Making use of the turning loop. 12. Waiting for the passengers for the return flight at LESU which is 14km from Andorra. An agreement was reached between the Catalan Government and the Principality of Andorra to rename the airport Andorra-La Seu d'Urgell Airport in 2014.
  3. My first flight for 3 months. The usual trouble upgrading Central in P3Dv2 but a look on the forums and the problem is quickly solved. Plenty of updating to do but made so easy with Central. So here we are at Bilbao and a first flight from there. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. Wonderful scenery with plenty to discover at LEBB and the surrounding area. Many thanks to Marcus and Philip for this wonderful scenery.
  4. Before I left Australia I prepared a few shots to post periodically. This one shows an L-39 of the RTAF taking off from Takhli AFB in Central Thailand, which is the home of Wing 4. F-16s and L-39s are based here although the L-39s will be replaced by 4 KAI T-50s next March. C-130s and DA-42s regularly visit and quite often do circuits. 12. Where I am staying is less than 200m from the SE corner of the base and I am getting some wonderful shots of the C-130 and DA-42 planes as they fly very low over the house.. The F-16s though are exceptionally quick and are usually gone before I can see them!
  5. Well today is the day I start a 2 months holiday to Thailand leaving YMML at 3:15 this afternoon on TG773 HS-TKA. 28.
  6. A quick flight from Ganges to Nanaimo. It is yellow seaplane night. Abysmal performance in the water so only shots in the air. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. I am the egg man They are the egg men I am the Walrus
  7. Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the airport. 1. A few elevation problems at YMML. 2. Then the Vectors airport elevation corrections thingy would not run. A quick search on the forums found the problem, deleted the 8 files as suggested and all is fixed. I do get worried when problems are so easy to fix.
  8. After landing at Albany last night, I jumped into the P-40 and headed off down the Hudson River for a few minutes. Here is just one view while my P3D is loading for a few flights tonight. 37.
  9. The Helldiver is the plane of the moment......at the moment. I am very surprised though that Jack has not brought it. So I thought I would do this flight to try and convince him. with eleven good reasons 1. One- it is yellow. Waiting for landing traffic at Binghampton International NY State. 2. Two- it is yellow. Not far from the airport is Chenango Bridge. Under the port wing is Sunset Way where I stayed in 1958 for 6 weeks. I was so happy to find the house on GE street view several years ago, bringing back some happy memories. 3. Three-it is yellow. Looking back down the Chenango River at Port Dickinson and Binghampton. I can clearly remember fishing in the river an being told not to stand in the boat! Apparently the river is now polluted and the "new" freeway follows the river. 4. Four-it is yellow. Over Harpursville looking down the Susquehanna River towards Windsor. 5. Five-it is yellow. The Senator Warren M Anderson Expressway and the Susquehanna again at Nineva. 6. Six-it is yellow. Near Cobleskill and Mineral Springs decided to try out the air brakes. They do work, exciting stuff. 7. Seven-it is yellow. A spectacular road network approaching Albany. 8. Eight-it is yellow. Over Rotterdam and were heading for Schenectady Airport but elevation problems have lead us to divert to Albany International. 9. Nine- it is yellow. Over the Hudson River at Goat Island. The airport is central left. 10. Ten it is yellow. Just about to land at Verdoy. I have been to Albany but one of those many parts of the holiday I cannot remember. 11. Eleven-it is a magnificent radial carrier bomber from WW2(actually in RL it was cr*p). Top class sound set, the start up is brilliant. Plenty of detail in the cockpit, bomb bay, gunner/radio operator position Uncle Tom Cobbley and all. Buy it now from AH and you get the F3F thrown in. Most of all Jack because being a Navy plane most of the liveries are blue which is my favourite colour and I love blue aeroplanes! Just one final thing to remember, this is OLC NA, bloody fantastic isn't it.
  10. U-Tapao is a Thai Navy air base in the Rayong district about 130 miles south of Bangkok. I have only travelled past here the once to this very industrialised part of Thailand. This flight takes us in the other direction towards the tourist town of Pattaya and then returning to VTBU 1. A big thanks are in order for Jankees for this wonderful RTAF Helldiver, taxying out with the Thai Airways maintenance complex in the background. p.1 Grumman Albatross gate guardian at U-Tapao 2. Ao Kong Kang at Sattahip, where the Thai Navy has a dockyard. The Thai Navy sports stadium at Sattahip. 3. Over Sattahip with the bay in the background. The major road is Route 3 Sukhumvit Road. p1. One of the many tower blocks that were springing up along the coast near Pattaya. 4. Now at Pattaya's Jontiem Beach. 5. Approaching VTBU at Sam Nak Thon. 6. Landing at U-Tapao over Route 3 again. p4 Some of the hangars seen from the main road, very little of the airport was visible. Thanks again to Jankees for your repaints this repaint especially, you have made my day. Just threw in a few snaps of the area I took in 2011(was it really that long ago!). Not very good as they were taken from the bus on a wet humid day and the windows were also poorly tinted which did not help.

I did a flight down the Mithithippi(don't try and say Mississippi with a lisp in front of your monitor unless it has windscreen wipers!) latht year and came acrothht thith pretty lady at Vickthburg Tallulah Regional. . 1. She told me her name was Ruby and she travels the ORBX world and enjoys looking at the aircraft 2. 3. She was even there waiting in the rain next morning when I departed for Batton Rouge. 4. Amazing how I can go to the supermarket without a list for 3 things and forget one but I can remember this flight from last August.
  12. Aeroplane Heaven have, as you all know, just released the Helldiver. I was very pleased when I visited their site to see that the F3F was included in a special deal when you brought the Helldiver. So I treated myself to a little Easter present and here is the start of my first flight in it. 1. I don't know too much about this plane but an important thing for me is that it will start with Ctrl+E and it has a GPS. 2. Along with that is a pretty convincing Wright R-1820 sound set. 3. Another good thing is that I have got my AI traffic running again but I expect you noticed that already. 4. Plenty of things to look at in the harbour here. 5. Some excellent ships here. 6. There is even the Coronado Bridge that I have to fly under, be daring and don't choose the wide middle spans, unless you are in a 747 or the like. 7. More beautifully done cargo vessels flash past. 8. A very impressive city scape here too. 9. Now to the Naval Dockyard. No itchy trigger fingers please. So it is onwards to Ensenada in Mexico.
  13. Just installed the new update for the Aeroplane Heaven B-17F. It now includes the most numerous Fort, the G, with it's distinctive chin turret. Only a pair of comparison views for now as it is soon time to go out. 1. Every Good Boy, 2.. Deserves a Fort
  14. Well it all started in the hangar. 1. Well maybe half in and half out of the hangar. 2. It did say parking spot 1! 3. Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngrh POP. There out of a tight spot. 4. Shirely that is all the trouble over and done with. 5. This is Welshpool and don't call me Buttercup. 6. That's enough, I'm off to try out my new toy.
  15. The Douglas B-18 Bolo was the immediate predecessor to many of the famous American WW2 bombers. It was however totally obsolete when it entered service, with it's lack of speed, defensive armament and bomb load. It ended up as a useful anti-submarine plane for the US and Canada sinking 3 U-boats. 1. Cape Blanco Airport is on the very south west edge of PNW. 2. Floras Lake Beach with Floras Lake. 3. At Bandon. 4. The Bolo's bomb bay. 5. Near Bandon Dunes with the turret ready for action. 6. Coming into Coos Bay over South Slough. 7. Coos Bay and the Coos River. 8. Coming in to land on rwy22 9. Not the best of landings. 10. Parked up and getting ready for the next flight.
  16. On the 8th of April 1967, 50 years ago today, the Beagle Pup made it's first flight from Shoreham Airport. Just over 2 1/2 years later the Government withdrew it's financial backing and Beagle Aircraft went under despite having over 200 on order..   17. Time for another flight from LOWI, flying east along the Inn Valley to do some exploring. 1. Getting the old bus ready for the flight. 2. The view from the tower with take off imminent. 3. Following the Inntal Autobahn at Polling in Tyrol. 4. Just passed Telfs and Reitz in sight. 5. After hugging the valley it is time to climb and look for a destination, yes it is one of my typical flights. 6. Not in Texas but just gone past Dalaas. 7. Approaching Bludenz on the Ill River a tributary of the Rhine. 8. Now heading south going over the mountains to the next valley looking at Bludenz from the south. 9. Passing over the peak of Schesalpana on the Austrian Swiss border. It is the highest peak on the Ratiikon Range. 10. Now at Untervaz in Switzerland. 11. Coming into LSZE Bad Ragaz. 12. Bad Ragaz is a popular Spa tourist destination. The airport has a short runway which is why I just cleared the fence. 13. A great landing for me. 14. Ok I had to cheat as the runway was far too short for my plane but no harm done and it will be good to fly for another day. Now off to the Hotel Quellenhoff for nice soak in the spa with some one special, please don't tell her indoors though Nice to dream isn't it.

Heading into the valley at Sellrain. 4. Spot the crazy road zig zagging up the mountain at St Quirin 5. The Foxbat has run out of puff so time to turn back at Lusens with Lisenser Fernerkogel dominating the horizon on the right 6. At Praxmar with Lamsenspitz on the right. 7. Looking down the valley at Stallwies 8. Innere Zehent 9. LOWI in sight at Untergrinzens 10. Back at LOWI
  19. Gerold suggested a move south for some nicer weather when flying. So it is down to KBLU and his forecasting was spot on. 1. Yak-52 speeding down the runway at KBLU. 2. Heading east and following Route 80 towards Emigrant Gap. 3. Yuba Pass. 4. Lake Tahoe North Star. 5. At KTRK Truckee 6. Carnelian Bay on Lake Tahoe 7. Rubicon Peak is in the distance. 8. South Lake Tahoe 9. Now that was a nice landing. 10. A different parking spot. 11. VH-XSU "Red Alert" at Albury 6th April 2008. 12. A close up of the beautiful artwork a lot of these Yaks adorn.   21. Avro York G-AGNP "Manchester" is taking a trip from Berlin to Hamburg. 1. Leaving Tegel over the Maselakebucht with the island Eiswerder. 2. The Havelkanal at Seidlung Schonwalde. 3. The junction of Autobahn 10 and 24 at Neu-Vehlefanz 4. Autobahn 24 again at Walsleben 5. Cruising near Rosenwinkel. 6. At the city of Grabow and the River Elde. 7. Passing the 304m mast at Billbrook. 8. The Mundsburg Towers are on the right, plenty of landmarks to see in Hamburg. 9. Stadtpark and the Hamburg Planetarium. 10. All tied up at Fuhlsbuttel Airport.
  22. A beautiful BOAC Douglas DC-7C, Seven Seas. Setting out for a Trans Atlantic flight to New York with the south west tip of Ireland just in view. 14.
  23. My favourite US airline just got a whole lot better. 1. This beautiful 737 is about to run up the west coast to it's home. 2. Sadly as beautiful as it is there are many dangers on the way. 3. The weather may be a problem. 4. The weather does look good at the moment, but still many miles to go. 5. Could be hungry bears, they love to snaffle a tasty Salmon. 6. Possibly a Bald Eagle with dagger like talons. 7. There are plenty of anglers who like to tangle with a big tasty salmon. 8. Maybe some nets will be strung across the salmon's path. 9. Or the many rapids and water falls might tire the salmon to a standstill. 10 No it is none of these. A few seconds after this shot was taken zaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap Bloody OOM. Stupid me, next time I will knock the slides back once I am at 30000ft, don't need the detail so high up. Oh well, I enjoyed the flight while it lasted and learnt something. Great work Matteo, we will all look forwards to your next wonderful project.
  24. The C-46 Commando was well suited for flying over the Himalayas from India to China in WW2 which was known as The Hump. Some of the terrain was over 16000ft. This short flight is not as strenuous for either the plane or the crews. It is in the Alps and the C-46 can safely fly along at 10000ft. 1. Departing LOWI. 2. Climbing along the Inn Valley with the Wetterstein Mountains in the distance. 3. Turning north with the town of Telfs just below. 4. Seefeld in Tyrol with the Karwendel Range behind. 5. Avoiding Gehrenspitze one of the Tannheim Group of mountains. 6. More of the Wetterstein Mountains and still climbing. 7. Looking back to Mittenwald. 8. Nearly out of the Alps and flying by Walchensee. 9. 10. The Starnberger See 11. Coming into land at Lechfeld AFB. 12. Looks good but about the worst landing I have made for ages.
