  2. Obviously this is only using ORBX Global and Vector since there is no other scenery available for this area. FreeMeshX does a great job with the mountains, but oh how I wish we had some beautiful ORBX landclass and scenery to go with it! P.S. - Sri Lanka would make a brilliant Experience Package! With dozens of tiny seaplane bases around the island and many points of interest including world heritage sites, beautiful beaches and national parks, waterfalls, you name it! Any takers?
  3. Dawn summer p3d and rex sky force regards Stewart

  7. Mossy doing some low level dawn training across East Anglia for a Dutch job. Cheers, Lane.
  8. Airborned from San Francisco airport(KFSO) at dawn for a very lo-o-o-o-ong flight :-(
  9. I'm really not sure if this is an Orbx problem but I've only noticed it since the EU lighting update. I now have white boxes showing where airport buildings are when viewed at quite a distance, even through fog. I seem to remember reading about this aberation before somewhere but can't seem to find the answer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  10. Super Bug doing some touch-and-go in KMRY today at dawn Thanks,
  11. Some nostalgia took me today ... Some shots of the Super Hornet arrival in Natal, Brazil. Sorry, only FTX Global (now base). Cheers...
  12. a nice sunrise to follow leaving coffs at flight 35,000 feet descending into ymml runway 16 very cloudy fog,low vis and landed thanks for viewing.
  13. G'day all, Well, it's been a few weeks since I contributed, due to building my new rig. Now that I'm up and running again, it's time to get back into some serious flying! And with a new toy to play with no less, with the release a couple of days ago of Shade. Here's my first screenies from my new build! For my Shade testing I've been flying around in the Kimberley region of WA at dawn and dusk, checking out the shadowing on all the wonderful ridges and rocky outcrops. I've fallen in love with Ant's Sierra all over again, the more I look at it the more I'm amazed by the visual details that Ant went into here. So for this flight, it's dawn in early autumn, fair weather (blah! I know, should've at least used one of the decent ORBX weather schemes!) for a flight from Argyle to Kununurra along the western shore of Lake Argyle, in the Tecnam Sierra. No commentary this time, the pics speak for themselves OK, so it's been a while since I posted one of these, but the scenery was just begging for it. A 270 degree panorama composited from 12 individual frames, with no exposure processing other than to match the frames. You may want to click to embiggen. Expect to see many more from me soon!! And as always, please feel free to post comments and criticisms. Cheers, Derek
  14. G'day all, Haven't been posting many pics lately due to PC hassles, not to mention resigning from my job and winding things down there as I finish up. Start a new (Bigger! Better!!) job in a couple of weeks, and have started ordering parts to build myself a shiny new gaming rig, so expect me back in the skies more frequently! Anyway, for today's flight I'm doing a quick dawn commuter run from Avalon down to Launceston in the superb A320 from Aerosoft's AirbusX. Jetstar repaint is by Frank the birthday boy, weather is real for this morning and provided by REX. Enjoy!! After pushback and startup at Avalon. Here comes the sun... taxiing to runway 36 And away! Climbing out from Avalon Climbing to cruise as the sun breaks from the clouds Such a nice paintjob when the sun gets on it Cruising over Bass Strait, it's clouds all the way and expected to be foggy and cloudy at Launy. Unfortunately, none of the rest of my screenshots worked, they all came out as full black images for some reason (must've left the lenscap on!!) so my set ends prematurely here. Hope you liked 'em, as always comments and criticism are most welcome! Cheers, Derek
  15. good morning concrete, and all you screenshooters went back to do some dodosim 206 hover training and ended up with a wonderful sunrise over the 3w5 concrete area, here are some of the shots i managed to take! helipad at 3w5 concrete municipal airport at 5:40am, systems running, good to go! standard FSX updated real-world weather + my fav. REX 2 textures = pretty exciting atmosphere! view from the 3w5 tower following the roads turning over the river outside view to spice things up panel lights not helping much during dawn time it seems... the lower baker dam and lake shannon returning for a coffee half decent landing on max realism... as always the full set (and all my other snapshots) is viewable at the flightsimdojo (no adverts, only FTX scenery, no evil links, just screenshots of my adventures )
