Definitely agree, Ashleigh. I also believe that when arranging "partners" under the Orbx Central distribution (same goes for Aerosoft One, Contrail, etc.) there should be a cross recognition of licenses owned by customers - the only ones benefiting from these partnerships are Orbx, Aerosoft, etc. This is starting to become incredibly messy. The other day, I almost re-purchased an Aerosoft scenery through the Orbx Central app that I already owned from Aerosoft direct. Yes indeed, scary to think what this will look like 1, 2 years and beyond from now... Clean it up guys. Brandon

A new update just came through for KVNY right now via Orbx Central. Not sure what it was for. Just booted up the sim and still getting laggy pans. -

KVNY was the first airport I tried after updating to SU5 yesterday. It seems to be slightly better with the new update but there is definitely work to be done - it's definitely an issue with the scenery itself. Matteo said he was working on LOD improvements, so looking forward to that update - I haven't seen anything released on Central yet. -
Hi Carlos - Yes, I know this. However, we're talking about moving Libraries that we've already created, and manually configuring folders ourselves to interact with MSFS Addons Linker. You can create new libraries and install your sceneries all over again within Central and it will create the "msfs" folder for you. However, to avoid the pain of reinstalling all of your Orbx add-ons, you can create new libraries within Central but you must move the addons from your existing library into the new libraries without forgetting to add back the additional "msfs" folder in order for Central to re-recognize all of your add-ons. That's what I was trying to clarify here.

Hi Richard - One thing I discovered that's sort of frustrating and not documented well with Orbx Central is that you need to add another folder titled "msfs" (if using MSFS) within the final Library path that you've directed Orbx Central to. Once I did this today, everything linked up and worked as it should. It did take closing out and restarting Orbx Central to discover everything again. Hope this solves your problem.

Thanks Jon, So if I wanted to move my existing sceneries from my single MSFS library to multiple libraries by region, I could just create several new libraries within Orbx Central and manually copy the files over on my drive to these respective folders, and then Orbx Central would pick them up? My primary concern is to retain the update/scenery management within Orbx Central. Thanks for the clarification so far. Brandon

Hi, I'm trying to setup MSFS Addons Linker today and I have a question about organizing sceneries into subfolders (e.g., by region of the world) when using Orbx Central. I already have an Orbx Library I've been using (assigned to a separate folder on my D drive). I would like to organize my Orbx sceneries by region of the world to use with the Addons linker but I'm afraid Orbx Central will no longer be able to find these for updating, etc. Is there a way to do this so as to not interrupt my addon management within Orbx Central? Thanks, Brandon

Thank you, Matteo. Looking forward to this! Much appreciated for the response. -
Hi, First off, fantastic work on KVNY - it's where I completed my PPL checkride so I know and love the field very much! I've waited to bring this issue up until I had tested with several different aircraft, specifically the CJ4 (WT mod), the JustFlight Piper PA-28R Arrow, and the PMDG DC-6. I've noticed when panning around in cockpit and outside, the panning to be very very laggy. It's strange cause I'm not getting bad performance so to say, my frame rates are still solid 40s in this area, I would estimate - I've just noticed this lag when panning, which is a bit annoying. I've noticed as soon as I fly away from the field that this goes away. I don't have this issue at KBUR (I own the Orbx version as well) or other airports in the area so I'm singling KVNY out here. I have a very capable brand new machine 5900X, RTX 3090, 64GB RAM and I get consistently great performance so this shouldn't be an issue. Anyone else experiencing this? Any thoughts on a solution? Thanks, Brandon

Hi, I just wanted to report some recent findings with the latest 1.1 update to Landmarks Paris City, which allegedly addresses compatibility issues with WU4. I started having CTDs after installing this new update on 3 for 3 flights attempted: LSZS > LFPO - CTD on short final Rwy 24 LFPO LFPO > EGGP attempt #1 - CTD after reaching cruise north of Paris, almost to English Channel LFPO > EGGP attempt #2 - CTD, approx. same location as attempt #1 I uninstalled Paris Landmarks, deleted the Content.XML file, rebooted the PC, restarted the sim and I'm now on 3 for 3 flights after this within the same areas with no CTD. I'm concerned this update is still not compatible with WU4, and also wondering why there isn't a configuration button as there is with the London City update for those that have the WU installed and those that do not? Thanks, Brandon

Thanks for the feedback. Although the freeware is incredible, I do agree it was lacking in building out the town of St. Moritz and some surrounding buildings - which is where I was hoping Orbx would excel, and looks like it did. I'm sure that developer will continue to build things out, he's doing some amazing stuff. Either way, much appreciated on sharing your thoughts, I had plans to buy the Orbx scenery anyways and will compare. Thanks! Brandon
