  1. Haha, have faith! It will all be solved in the end. Happy flying!
  2. Just a reminder. Nick explained it all already:
  3. Hi! I just saw that some products are now compatible with P3Dv6 (like Base Pack, vector, openLC Europe), which is really great news! But... Orbx Central doesn't see my P3Dv6... (it did see P3Dv4 and P3Dv5 when those were still installed on my drive) Anyone?
  4. Hi Aguiar, For the time being, you might be interested in this post:
  5. Sounds like I heard that before! Anyway: in my experience, at the border of a TrueEarth area, you can expect to see a clear cut. It won't blend nicely or so. At least, that's what I saw between TE Washington and the area to the north. However, I understood TE Netherlands does a better job in this respect, but I didn't test that yet.
  6. Hi Guillaume, For TrueEarch areas, you won't need Global Base nor Vector. But you will need those for the rest of the world of course. Regards, Mathieu
  7. Hello Heronjr, Out of curiosity, I took a short flight at this location. I took off at DNMM, turned to the south, and looked out for the squares. But I wasn't able to see them. It might be something on your end. I would probably try to uninstall and re-install OpenLC Africa. Regards, Mathieu
  8. Still hoping for a Xmas surprise. Who knows.
  9. Hi Rob, I'm a bit curious about your lighting settings, because it looks gorgeous!
  10. I installed P3D v5.3 tonight and had quite a few test flights: as far as I can tell, all my Orbx sceneries work properly (openLC, airports, etc). As advized, I completely removed P3D v5.2 (see post of Rob Ainscough hereabove). Since my Orbx sceneries are installed in a library, in theory all I needed to do to get Orbx working in the new version was : open the settings in Orbx Central, then go to the Help section, and click Sync Simulator. I did that, and just to be sure I also uninstalled and re-installed Global Base Pack (I think it was needed in the past). That's it.

  12. Just bought this airport. Wasn't aware of the problem. Indeed lots of spikes!
  13. I will buy OpenLC Asia for P3D too! Really hoping Orbx has a good surprise for us for Xmas.
  14. I would love having the French airports of FranceVFR for Prepar3D in OrbxCentral! As soon as those are available in Central, it will buy those right away!
  15. Just discovered this useful map with most of the Orbx airports, both freeware and payware. Wonderful to choose some new place to start a flight: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=16TLldaoxxmFv7wOWfYyM8zV-bgM&ll=56.046585387918974%2C-36.50499182823512&z=2 Prepar3D with Orbx is so much fun!
  16. Hi Caleb, just like you, I bought a modern (gaming) laptop to replace an older desktop. I use it for P3D v5. It gets very hot too (regularly above 80 degrees), so I bought a cooling pad. It's difficult to measure the effect (in my case, the temp reduction can't be 10 degrees, otherwise I would have noticed!). But I'm confident the cooling pad must help somehow, because it keeps the air moving (so hot air keeps moving away as well). Regards, Mathieu
  17. Hi Aspen31, Reading about night textures during day rings a bell to me. Hope this helps.
  18. A bit different here: Technically, I have quite a nice experience with MSFS: I installed it on two different PC's, the first one kind of mid-end (I7-7700 CPU @3.60GHz, 16GB RAM, GTX 1050TI GPU) and the other high-end (I7-9750H CPU @4.50GHz (turbo), 16GB RAM, RTX 2070 GPU), and I can tell it runs perfectly on both, and it looks wonderful just out of the box. In theory, MSFS solves all "problems" I had with P3D. But how it feels is another story. Because in practice, I hardly ever fly with MSFS, and when I do, I always switch back to P3D within a few minutes. So, of course MSFS is wonderful, no doubt about that! But in my case, it turns out that P3D is still my ā€œfavourite toyā€! Cheers!
  19. 'Until august the 18th'... You probably meant until MSFS2020 was released... well, it's released now, I bought it and I can tell: I still prefer flying P3D with Orbx. So... yes, come on with openLC Asia! (please!)
