Yes there is a terrain.cfg

I also have encountered this problem and the suggestions in this thread did not solve the problem I did this 1) Uninstall the P3D client and scenery 2) Re install the P3D client and scenery from the latest 5.3 HF1 package 3) Run the “Delete Generated Files” shortcut in Prepar3D’s installation directory 4) Run P3D Also uninstalling global and when try to reinstall get the error message

I have P3D 5.2 Orbx PNW and at 8W5 I see the runway floating above the terrain. And it seem not just looking so. When I turned of the runway my plane fell down (crashed). See image. I have all Orbx stuff fully updated. I tried to verify PNW which didn't help. Any suggestions on how to fix this

I would not say dreadful. I have just made some flights from same airports in MSFS and P3DV5 and at and close to a Orbx payware airport (3W5 Israels farm) the scenery is better than default MSFS, But for example ESGP where I have been in real life default MSFS is pretty good. Just a blue clubhouse is missing

One thing that I think about here is this. In P3D 5 and XP11 addon scenery is really needed since default is bad. But in MSFS default is already good and I don't see any need for getting payware scenery for it. So I would like to see focus on P3D
