  1. Did you choose the proper Configuration Setting, i.e. World Update III on/off in Orbx Central? (See Nick's contribution above.) Kind regards, Michael
  2. Same here, and if you glance through the official forum we're not alone. Well possible, PM off and the Orbx Landmarks may do a better job, but then you would have to deactivete all PM cities which I don't want either. Kind regards, Michael
  3. Thank you for the update, this is certainly going to be an excellent solution from the side of Orbx. I am stilly glad, Orbx jumped in with the original London landmarls pack, as London looked really poor in the release version of MSFS. And yes, I've a bit of a mixed feeling about Orbx not getting a pre-release version. Even more, as this will be a standard situation for all City Pack/ POI pack / Landmarks makers, not only Orbx, which will repeate with every World update. The next loophole for Orbx will probably be the Paris landmarks pack. Kind regards, Michael
  4. This is very welcome, I bought the two of their sceneries, really enjoyable ones. Glad, there will be a way to shift them into Orbx Central. Kind regards, Michael
  5. This is a great video. I agree to Carlos, brief developer-plus-product videos now and then would be cool. I am always interested in the makers behind the products, that's why I enjoy the Asobo Feature Discovery and Q&A series. Although I understand making a professional video like this one is resource-intense in a big way. I only missed one developer, partially retired now,... that's JV. Kind regards, Michael
  6. Singapore looks stunning. Looking forward to more landmark packs which I find are a great addition to MSFS. Kind regards, Michael
  7. Wow, Orbx has done it again! No half-baked Harbor Bridge anymore. This will be so much fun to fly. Kind regards, Michael
  8. My Orbx Central entry goes to the alpha/beta Contents at this time. That's probably why MS suggested to deinstall it when pre-installing the payware version. Unfortunatey, I still need the beta for a few addon tests. I hope Orbx Central will adapt when I will deinstall the beta on Monday. Kind regards, Michael
  9. Welcome MSFS in Orbx Central, I just got an update of Orbx Central and it detected my MSFS pre-installation. No products yet, but the entry and start page are there. Kind regards, Michael
  10. No doubt, this is all possible, yes. LM could request certificates for academic use or cancel P3D completely. Austin could be killed in a car accident. I am 68 years old and prefer to use what I get now. For me, the whole package is a huge step forward and I will use and expand it by addons. I say this after testing for half a year, thus I know what I'll get. Kind regards, Michael
  11. No one knows the future, but you could as well base your expectations on the many years of FS1-FS9 experience, which were successful and stable. Kind regards, Michael
  12. I am positive Orbx will work quickly on them. KMRY is one of my all-time-favorites, too, and shouldn't take too long given Jarrad is a clever guy. Kind regards, Michael
  13. Thanks Mawson, ... although this doesn't sound really good. Kind regards, Michael
  14. Thanks Tony, I am actually inclined to go with the Steam version as well. Kind regards, Michael
  15. Just a technical question: I suppose these work with the MS Store version as well as the Steam version, if I buy them via Orbx Central, right? Kind regards, Michael
  16. Based on his several forum contributions, I would conclude Tony learned this already over the last year. Kind regards, Michael
  17. Excited, while I expected Orbx to be among the pioneers. Loking forward to see great Orbx products embedded in the fasciating world MSFS provides. And, yes, thanks for the generous discount. Finally: Let me predict, the London City Pack will be a bestseller. Kind regards, Michael
  18. From the point of view of users there may be no difference between an OpenLC region and an airport but for the developer there is. I am convinced, Orbx will go on developing airports for MSFS and others simulators in parallel for quite some time. There are a lot of assets and know-how they can re-use, notwithstanding differences of the platforms. However, LC-based regions are useless in MSFS and I doubt their production for the remaining Prepar3d users will pay off. In my mind, the cardinal error has been the never-ending delay of the OpenLC series. It was a great series of products once but became unprofitable over time. Kind regards, Michael
  19. I have been pleading for OpenLC Asia for a long time, as you can see from my posting track, and I would have bought it immediately up until, say, half a year ago. After all, you are right that it was promised once to cover the whole world in a unique scheme. However, the world keeps turning. After having flown for several months now over Japan in MSFS alpha, I am not prepared to buy any landclass-based scenery any longer. Nothing wrong if anyone wants to keeps his present sim and fly in the scenery he bought but the future is elsewhere. And the future starts now. LC-based products will not sell anymore in numbers to be profitable. Kind regards, Michael
  20. Unfortunately, this makes the leap between XP-TE Regions and P3D-TE Regions, which was promised to be closed, even wider. With kind regards from less happy Prepar3d user Michael
