Melbourne International Airport is coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Modelled by our Orbx team led by Sascha Normann, YMML has been meticulously recreated, from the intricacies of the terminals to the sprawling runways and taxiways.
Located to the northwest of Melbourne CBD and a stone’s throw away from Orbx HQ at Essendon Fields, YMML is the second busiest airport in Australia. Taking over from Essendon in 1970 as the main airport for Melbourne, “Tulla” was expanded to 4 terminals with 68 gates in 2023 with just over 40 airlines operating from the airport. It is the gateway to the buzzing and contemporary city of Melbourne.

Orbx Indie developer Marcus Nyberg, in collaboration with Jetstream Designs, brings you ESSA Stockholm-Arlanda Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Stockholm-Arlanda Airport is the larger of Stockholm's two airports and is the busiest in Sweden. Arlanda is the gateway to Stockholm, 'the capital of Scandinavia', and is Sweden's largest airport with over 70 airlines serving routes to over 170 destinations worldwide. Along with 26 million passengers passing through the airport each year, Arland also performs as an important cargo hub.
Once again Marcus does not disappoint with his latest project for MSFS which showcases his texture wizardry and expert modelling. A host of new, unique GSE vehicles and clutter can be found across the airport along with custom animated traffic adjusting for time of day and weather. And during the winter months, you can experience the Nordic chill in the air with the 3D-modelled snow banks that accumulate at the taxiway edges.
Focused on bringing a true-to-life airside experience, in collaboration with ground staff at the airport, even the smallest details like correct pushback routines have been added for all parking (requires GSX Pro).
Please ensure that the default ESSA Stockholm-Arlanda that is installed with the Nordic update is removed to avoid potential conflicts.

The airport primarily serves as a gateway to the Mount Hotham ski resort, a popular destination for skiing and snowboarding during the winter months. It provides convenient access to the ski slopes and accommodations in the area.
The airport has a single runway (4,790ft, 1,460m) in length and is mainly used for general aviation, charter flights, business jets, and, in years past, regional domestic carriers. Due to its location in mountainous terrain, Mount Hotham has challenging weather conditions most of the time and is a short hop from Melbourne and Canberra. Flying into YHOT is always enjoyable, but it is advisable to check the windsocks before landing (if you know what we mean!), and if you want to really spice it up, try your luck at landing an Airbus or a Boeing here!
Indie developer Milo has opted for a legacy version of the airport to include the years when domestic and regional services like Qantas and REX graced Mount Hotham. So put on your ski jackets and head to the ski fields of Mount Hotham.

Hi all, the update for Landmarks Auckland is now available on Orbx Central.
Changelog
- Extensive updates to the entire package to achieve full compatibility with World Update New Zealand. Note that these updates are meant to be used with the World Update's photogrammetry coverage of Auckland active. However, the building placements and shoreline adjustments will also work with photogrammetry deactivated.
- Exclusions to resolve duplication with World Update POIs. Our Harbour Bridge and Skytower (with animated jumpers) have been retained.
- Mechanics Bay Heliport now can be selected by its ICAO (NZMB), with three pads available as start positions.
- Additional custom marina at Orakei, east of the port.
- Adjustments to the shoreline polygons as well as stative vessels and port structures to match the World Update's new orthoimagery and watermasking.

Art
Derived from real-world CAD drawings provided by BLACKWING, the modelling and texturing are some of the most accurate seen in Microsoft Flight Simulator. As you move throughout the cockpit, you’ll see the geometry and materials crafted by 3D artist and industry veteran Russ White.

Systems
Although it’s a small aircraft, the BW 635RG has a full suite of Garmin avionics. From the touch screen G3X to the GMA 345 audio panel, the GNC 255 radio, and GTX 345 transponder. All with custom 3D modelling.
The electrical system is modelled as per Blackwing’s aircraft documentation, including functioning circuit breakers. Both the master and backup switches perform multiple functions, modelled based on the real aircraft.
The built-in GFC 500 autopilot lets you take your hands off the controls and relax as the Blackwing cruises along at a comfortable cruising altitude of 9,500 ft.
The RS Flight Systems’ Single Lever Power Control (SLPC) is implemented, reducing pilot workload and allowing the Rotax 915 iS to run at peak performance.
Performance
We’ve taken a lot of effort to get the aircraft performing close to the real thing, throughout the entire envelope. The aircraft stalls at 38 kts, and has a Vne of 173 kts (although it is capable of, and has set world records at, higher speeds). BLACKWING Sweden AB helped us tune the aircraft, ensuring it matches its real-life counterpart as closely as possible.
The powerful Rotax 915 iS delivers 141 horsepower, allowing the Blackwing to climb at 2,000 ft/min, and to hold multiple FAI world records for its class.
A five-hour endurance combined with a 150 m (492 ft) take-off distance, and a 300 m (984 ft) landing distance allow you to fly over 500 NM to almost any airport.

The Noorduyn Norseman was designed and built by Noorduyn Aircraft Ltd., a Canadian aircraft manufacturer. The company was founded in 1928 by Dutch-Canadian aircraft designer Robert B.C. Noorduyn, who had previously worked for Fokker and Bellanca. The Norseman was one of the first aircraft designed and built by Noorduyn, and it was an immediate success, with more than 900 examples of the aircraft being built between 1935 and 1959. Noorduyn Aircraft continued to operate until 1986, when it was acquired by Canadair and merged into the parent company.
The Norseman is a single-engine, bush plane that was used primarily for cargo and passenger transport in remote areas, such as the Canadian North and Alaska. It was used extensively during World War II by the military, and many examples of the aircraft are still in operation today. The Norseman is known for its rugged construction and ability to operate on rough, unimproved airstrips. In Microsoft Flight Simulator, the Norseman is a highly-detailed and accurate representation of the real-world aircraft, with realistic flight dynamics and performance. It's a versatile and reliable aircraft that's well-suited for use in remote, challenging environments, and it's a great addition to any virtual pilot's collection.

Portland International Jetport (PWM, KPWM) is located in Maine, the United States, north of Boston. Portland offers a great diversity in flights from daily airline connections to cities like Washington, New York and Chicago to Cargo operations with FedEx, but also smaller general aviation or regional routes.
This airport has grown quite significantly over the years and it is fortunately still growing. It handled nearly 2 million passengers in 2022 and to cope with this growth they completed a large terminal expansion in 2011, which is of course represented in this scenery. More recently, the airport runways and taxiways were largely resurfaced and expanded, and is present in our rendition of this airport as well.
Portland Jetport also offers great approaches such as the Harbor Visual for Runway 29 where you fly over the river and along the Portland City waterfront and harbor.

Indie developer Rob Byrne takes us South from his previous release of Mackay Airport (the Sugar Capital of Australia so you can see a pattern forming here) to Rockhampton in Central Queensland.
Today YBRK Rockhampton Airport has regular service flights to Mackay, Cairns, Townsville and Brisbane and with additional services to other cities coming soon with new Australian low-cost airline, Bonza. In addition to scheduled services, the Royal Flying Doctors and Helicopter Rescue Services are based at the airport and during military exercises in the area, various types of military aircraft are a common sight at YBRK. You'll see an interesting visitor at the airport, a static MQ-28 Ghost Bat which is a stealthy multirole UAV developed by Boeing Australia for the Royal Australian Air Force.
The airport's location near the Fitzroy River has seen the airport close a number of times due to floods and it has been suggested that it is moved. Regardless, the airport has seen many improvements and upgrades recently as well as the new maintenance facility being constructed for Alliance Airlines at the airport.

85U Soldiers Bar is a USFS airstrip located on the south side of the Big Creek Canyon, 500 feet above Big Creek. Although it's considered to be a recreational airstrip, the challenges it presents are only for the most seasoned pilots. There are many things to consider on approach, 4 degree upslope, multiple bumps which will get you airborne again, dogleg in the runway, and only landable on runway 25. The list goes on!
Soldiers Bar is also known for its heliops, camping, and fishing. Quite often you will see backcountry pilots camped out here for the night. Your experience can be further enhanced with //42 Campout Utility. 85U is a great place to get out of your aircraft and walk around observing the native flora.
