  1. I just have to ask Iain, what are your water settings in these shots? Wave animation, color, FSWC settings? I know the color is affected by many things but try as I may, I just can't come close to these. They are amazing!
  2. Overflying the Tesoro Anacortes Refinery in a Cessna 162 Skycatcher. Just amazing work by Jarrad. From the Tesoro's web site: Located about 70 miles north of Seattle on the picturesque Puget Sound, Tesoro’s Anacortes refinery has a total crude-oil capacity of 120,000 barrels per day (bpd) The refinery primarily supplies gasoline, jet fuel and diesel to markets in Washington and Oregon, and manufactures heavy fuel oils, liquefied petroleum gas and asphalt. It receives crude feedstock via pipeline from Canada and by tanker from Alaska and foreign sources. The Anacortes refinery ships gasoline, jet fuel and diesel through a thirdparty pipeline system that serves western Washington and Oregon. The facility delivers refined products . . . through our marine terminal, to ships and barges. Thanks for viewing.
  3. Beautiful plane, beautiful shots! The last two even better!
  4. In conclusion to my messin', I ended up using Win7's built-in monitor calibration software. Simple enough and seems to do a reasonable job. Thanks for all the comments, I appreciate it.
  5. Thanks everyone for the comments. There are so many great shots on this forum, it really inspires me to get it together.
  6. Thanks everyone. I've been trying to get my monitors calibrated using some online tools and then loading up the sim with Sweetfx installed and messin' with that. Needless to say, I'm easily confused. So if it looks ok to you guys, I'm going to leave it at that. Thanks for alleviating my needless concerns.
  7. SLM approaching Port Macquarie YPMQ Anyone care to comment on the exposure of these; too light, too dark, too little too much contrast, over/under saturated? I'm having a hard time calibrating my monitors. Any recommendations on how to calibrate without calibration hardware? Or what calibration hardware do you recommend? All these shots were made with the same settings. Comments appreciated. Thanks!
  8. That last one is the photo. Just crop a little off the bottom where you can see through the trees. Really nice shots!
  9. Nice! Your place has a million dollar view!
  10. Very nice work! Got to go get it. An immense thank you!
  11. Finally room for all of Orbx land!
  12. Excellent series! Very interesting seeing those mines.
  13. Fantastic post, shots and commentary! Well done Christoph! I enjoyed it very much.
