Hello all, I am hoping to give some feedback to improve SJC. Recently, I have been configuring AI traffic to help bring my sim more alive when not on VATSIM. Using SJC as one of my test airports, I noticed that aircraft were not using the full runway to depart and instead were using intersection D for takeoffs. With SJC being my home airport and actually working on the ramp at the airport, I am very familiar with the SJC operations, so I decided to open the AFCAD with Airport Design Editor and take a look if the problem was an easy fix. Upon opening the file, it was very clear that the AFCAD is incomplete and has a number of errors and easy improvements to be made. First, the runways are not full length, this is what's causing AI traffic to use intersections for takeoff. Second is the west side of the airport is extremely incomplete. A good chunk of taxiway W is missing, and the entire Signature ramp is also missing. Parking spots also have the wrong airlines listed for gates and the GA and South Cargo ramps are numbered in such a confusing way. I took the time to do these edits myself and the change was immediate. AI traffic would use the full runways, the GA side was a lot easier to pick the correct spot you wanted, and airlines used the proper gates. The issue was I was having some of the changes come through the taxiways. This killed the realism of the work I had done and I am hoping to either get some help with what I am possibly doing wrong with ADE to fix this issue, or be in contact with someone who I give information to that can properly fix the AFCAD for this scenery and make it available to everyone. YES!!! So many years have I been waiting for KSJC to get the love it needs! My home town airport, I know all of its details almost by heart from plane spotting at the airport so many times a month!
