About to turn 78. Nice to know that I am one of the wee young ones on this thread. (One quarter MacDonald) -

It was a shock to realize that as an Old Coot, my only adjustment to the pandemic lockdown has been not going out to Denny's for breakfast each day. And, of course, wearing a mask when going to grocery or medical. Otherwise, pretty much the same routine. -

Our grandson asked us the other day how we were remaining so cheerful despite the lockdown. My wife and I had to admit that our routine wasn't a whole lot different under the lockdown from what it was before. One advantage of being Old Coots?? -

One of the disadvantages of being an Old Coot is that we learn firsthand an awful lot about medicine. Wishing you all the best, Doug and Fizz. -

Yes! A very happy birthday to you, dexthom. We Old Coots being what we are, I have to ask the traditional question: "What's the secret to a long life?" Please feel free to respond with a sarcastic answer -

With apologies to all: Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to the doctor to get a physical.A few days later, the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm.A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Morris and said: "You're really doing great, aren't you?"Morris replied: "Just doing what you said, Doc. Get a hot mamma and be cheerful."The doctor said: "I didn't say that. I said, You've got a heart murmur - be careful." -

Finished repaint of C337 Skymaster FAC JADE07
Rodger Pettichord replied to eViLoZzy's topic in Community Screenshots
Lee, I really liked the calm authority conveyed by that paint job. The 337 looks to me like one of the small gunships from the VietNam era--small plane, big sting. Thanks! -

One of the reasons I like the Old Coots Club is that I don't feel alone in being rejected by the computer age. I sure miss phones with a ringer-lever on the side, and pencils and paper, and mechanical typewriters, and... -

I am an American mutt -- English, Scottish, French, and German. The Scottish quarter is MacDonald, My father's proudest accomplishment was when he visited Scotland and met some distant relatives then was invited to play The Old Course. How did we come to America? Like so many, the Pettibone/Petticord/Petticoat (take your pick at the border) came to Virginia as indentured servants/laborers. This was in the mid 1700s. It's been all downhill since -

Terry, I respectfully disagree. We have had a great deal of fun wandering around in the dark wondering just what we were talking about. That's Old Coot at its best. -
