  1. I join John is saying Redding, CA, at the Mercy Medical Center. (Sorry for being a smart-*ss above.)
  2. Very interesting trio, Adam. Didn't know of them, so thanks. Bassist reminds me of the Wood Brothers Julliard-trained bassist.
  3. Well, from what I see, Rob, since you don't know, you must be in big trouble, having just been airlifted to a hospital. But that's probably not what you're asking.
  4. Keep on flyin' Filou. Happy day to you and yours.
  5. Hi all. I'm flying a Kodiak 100 as background for my new book. I will soon fly it in Columbia in support of back-country humanitarian locations. I just picked it up at the factory in Post Falls, Idaho, and flew it down to Felts Field in Spokane, Washington, where my characters will get Kodiak training at the Spokane Turbine Center. That flight took twenty minutes, and I really enjoyed it. And that got me thinking -- how long does a good flight last for me? How long is too long? I ended up saying that my most enjoyable flights are between a half-hour and fifty minutes. More than that, my butt gets sore and I start to zone out. As you may guess, that conclusion leads to this week's topic. THIS WEEK'S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: What length of flight is most enjoyable for you?
  6. Have a great day, Wolfgang. Hope everyone indulges you with lots of fattening goodies..
  7. Rob, after seeing your mouth-watering photo, I checked out the Peter Chu menu. Wow! Good prices and great selection. I can see why you like it.
  8. So long as you don't see pink elephants, Wayne.
  9. Hi all. Several weeks ago when we were discussing favorite Orbx airports, KenQ suggested that we might go even further. More specifically, he suggested that we might highlight our favorite airport cafes. Oh yea! That made me think of the excellent Skyway Cafe at our Felts Field here in Spokane -- great corned beef hash! And thus this week's topic. THIS WEEK'S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: What airport eating spot(s) would you recommend to a traveling Forum member?
  10. Looks like something autocorrect "corrected." Not to divert your point, Doug, which is that the human brain is truly amazing. Yez ut iz!
  11. Hi all. The other day I went to use my little Swiss Army pocketknife and couldn't find it. I figured I must have left it in my pants pocket when I hung the pants up, but it wasn't there either. Suddenly, I felt a deep sense of loss. I always have my Swiss Army knife in my pocket, along with wallet. Chapstick, and keys. Later, after ordering a new knife, I found the old one. So the new one is now in my wife's purse. The episode made me realize how thoroughly attached I am to my normal pocket contents. And that brings us to this week's topic. THIS WEEK'S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: What items are absolutely essential pocket items for you?
  12. Hi Wayne. Couldn't figure out where to find the "options" option so didn't get far. Did run into an Orbx forum suggestion that seems to have worked -- open Central, hit ALT F4 which stops the program, then reload. When I did that, I was online and could download again. Still hit the roadblock if I enter from desktop, but I'll find a workaround for that. Thanks for your help, my friend. I appreciate it muchly.
  13. Thanks, Wayne. I'm just about to tuck in for the night, so I will try this tomorrow. I'll report back afterwards. Thanks again.
  14. Just bought some nice scenery and a plane from Orbx Central. When I went to download and install, the screen informed me that it was no go -- I had somehow been switched to offline mode. I can't for the life of me figure out where to go to switch back. Can anyone guide me? Thanks.
  15. I feel guilty just getting up and slipping on me pants (clan McDonald).
  16. So many have cited KORS as a favorite that I got it out and tried it. Beautiful! Thanks, all.
  17. Happy Birthday, Holger. Thanks for all the happy hours.
  18. Nobody did Doc better than Val Kilmer. One of my favorites of all time. As for the wolves --EEEK!!! Thanks, Adam.
  19. Hi all. Three Orbx FSX/P3D airport packages are my all-time favorites: The Tacoma Narrows is an airport I visited every week when we lived on the coast; Felts Field is an airport here in Spokane where I have done live touch-and-goes; and the PNG Bush Strips are exactly my idea of a perfect flight experience. Now, Orbx is offering two Idaho bush packages and a series of PNG back-country villages for MSFS. Darned if I am not going to try yet again to master MSFS -- I have to experience those remarkably realistic beauties, which will no doubt join my all-time list. And that brings us to this week's topic. THIS WEEK'S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: Which Orbx airports are on your all-time favorite list?
