  1. Hi there, just need to chime in. I also have this issue, I cannot purchase anymore than 1 item at the same time with the latest update.  Used to be able to bulk purchase with no issues whatsoever.

Has there been an update to this yet, as I see it’s been going on since May and still no reply?

yes there’s a workaround, but it’s extremely time consuming and not really practical.

So currently enjoying MSFS even though it has some flaws; at least what I believe are issues that need to be worked around. Currently run a 2070 Super GFX card on a I9 - 9900K Asus ROG Maximus XI with 32 Gb DDR4 memory. Generally the game runs flawless now after some initial setting tweaks. However, Clouds on ultra look like crap and reverted drivers back to a version that apparently supported them better and there was improvement - however, when I first d/l this game the clouds were perfect - much like Rex Soft Clouds were for P3D. Water too has lost its "incredible look" at least from what they were advertising in initial videos and have read elsewhere others have seen this as a problem too. Anyone aware of settings that might be tweaked to improve these settings to get back to white puffy clouds and roiling grey angry ones prior to thunderstorms and back to tropical looking water instead of some grey soup with olive oil spread on top of it? Anyone else having issues? Screenshots would be welcome for great looking textures and how you arrived at them and driver versions for Nvidia cards similar...

Although I’ve not downloaded the latest MSFS update yet, in the update notes, it does state that the texture issue of clouds has been fixed.     Fingers crossed that will bring back the stunning clouds we used to have.

Technical reasons, it was easier to add to the new Orbx Central whereas as adding it to the website required significant development work.

Ahhh this answers my question, was just about to make a large Orbx purchase while I’m away on holiday, but couldn’t find the PayPal option.

Guess I’ll have to wait until I get home next week to use central instead.

  4. Damn that was quick.  I knew I would be purchasing Orbx products for the new MSFS, I wasn’t to be fair thinking I would have spent ( well at least budgeted ) $100 for Orbx products, before the sim has even been released.

Have to admit the mix of new MSFS ground tech and Orbx products seems a match made in heaven. We are gonna end up with unprecedented realism and visuals that may of us could have only dreamed about during our lifetimes.

What a fantastic time to be a simmer.

Huge Thankyou to the entire team for making this possible.

    Hi @Cowboy10uk1,

Looking through your Log.txt that you uploaded, let's try and work out why it's failing.

Central has reported that it scanned 22,366 files, and didn't find any that were out of date / incorrect (emphasis mine):

As you mention that the files do exist at the correct location, I'm wondering if it's an issue with X-Plane itself?

I will try and get the plane log and look at that then, it was a brand new fresh install, so fresh download of 11.41B and the Orbx scenery is the only addition software that was installed when this issue turned up.

If needed I will wipe everything and start again.

  6. ok Im now at a complete and utter loss.

Followed the request above, changed temp location to a bigger driver after clearing the location on C drive, unticked the auto backup and cleared the back up folder.

Uninstalled GB Central, and restarted PC.

Installed GB Central fresh into XP11

    Restarted PC

Started XP11 at Tatenhill and also tested manchester Barton, and get the same error messages.

Ive been in and checked my Orbx install locations, and can confirm that BOTH files are showing at the location the error message says it cant find them, and the file names appear correct.

GB Central is showing at 80.3 GB when installed, does that sound right?

Sounds a little low to me as North shows 142GB and South shows 129gb although it does seem to match the install size shown on site.

Latest log file is below after the new install.

  7. Hi Jon, thanks for the quick response.   I will download and place those files into their locations once I get home in 50 mins after the school run.    Ref the hard drive space,  central is installed on a 4th drive in my machine which still has around 400gb left on it.    Central was downloaded together up with all my other products, I.e. I just selected all my products to download and walked away.  It was the 2nd item to download,   And central then went on to download another 28 products including both Oregon and Washington HD packs which are a considerable size with no issues.

I did try to verify files and it didn’t find anything wrong, BUT if adding these files do not work, I will try uninstalling central and doing a fresh install with it.

    thanks for your help

    talk soon no doubt

  8. Hi all, Ive just done a completely fresh install of Xplane 11 and all my Orbx Products, basically all of europe, however when i try and launch Xplane, im getting the following 2 errors come up.

The following scenery package has a problem and will therefore not be loaded:
    Custom Scenery/Orbx_C_GB_Central_TrueEarth_Orthos/
It requires an additional library scenery package that is not installed, or it is missing some of its files.

There was a problem loading the scenery package:
    Custom Scenery/Orbx_B_GB_Central_TrueEarth_Overlay/
The scenery may not look correct.

Please see the Log.txt file for detailed error information.

I've been in and verified the files on both GB central and the Orbx Librarys but with no luck.  I was just wondering if anyone knows how to fix this.   All files were installed via central but on a different drive to the main XP 11 Install as offered in the install menu. I include my Log.txt below if that helps.

    many Thanks

  9. Oh dammit, Aimee and John, you’re costing me money yet again.........

Honestly this looks fantastic, and it’s fair to say the sneak peak last week was instrumental in my decision to move fully to the Xplane 11 simulator from P3D, despite the huge expense if had in purchasing ALL the European scenery from ORBX in P3D

True Earth really is that much of a game changer.

    Resistance is useless!

Mr Cowboy, now being from down under I am biased so...…..;)

…...….get both the USA and Aus.:o

Actually there is an AUS v2 on the horizon

Like your thinking sir, but your statement throws up another question, do I get Aus now or wait until V2.  Will V2 be a free upgrade or another full product like TE is to the standard (UK) scenery?  Who knows.

Aggghhhh choices choices, although let’s be honest. As you stated Resistance is useless.

Hell i I even bought XP11, purely so I could use TE England as I couldn’t wait for it on P3D, even though that is my main sim, AND I have every intention of getting it for that anyway.

  11. Well, she’s finally downloaded and installed and a full fresh install of XP11. In fact I installed XP, purely so I could use this product.  Ok first impressions based on a very quick flight around the very top of the scenery location. RAF Cosford, across Huntington, Cannock Chase, Rugeley, Uttoxeter and Alton Towers, before returning.

Well I’ll what can I say that you didn’t already know. Wow, pretty mind blowing. Was very easy to navigate using local roads and landmarks, with each one pretty much where you expect to find it, was pleasantly surprised to see even the towers at Rugeley power station were correct considering they only knocked the old ones down last year.

JCB was easy to find, although the lake outside it appears as grass rather than water, and the golf course that’s alongside JCB looks like a building site, but hey it wasn’t opened until 3 months ago and I’m pretty sure the sat data would have been taken quite a bit before then , so it’s hardly surprising.

Yes I know that is very very picky, but that’s really because You have to be that picky to find anything wrong with this product.   It truely is one of the best renditions of the UK I have ever seen, Cannock Chase looks stunning, and I can even make out the German War cemetery and it’s gravestones.

The cutoff off point is just a few miles north of Alton Towers, can’t wait to get the next section next month.

all in all, very highly recommended, and I can’t wait to explore properly when I have a bit more time.

Very well done Orbx, you guys and gals have outdone yourself.  Will be getting it for P3D as well the moment it’s avalible.

Cannock is well below Stoke on Trent (the 53 line) so it is included in the GB South region.

You can easily determine the boundaries using a Google search on "UK lat long".

For your convenience I have attached a reference map:Screen Shot 2018-10-09 at 12.51.18.png

John, You have just made an old git a very happy guy.

    Thankyou for the quick reply.

  13. Hi guys, Been looking around for an answer to my question above, and found a post mentioning the cutoff is at 53 Degrees North, which i believe cuts through Stoke on Trent.

If thats the case, am i right to assume that Cannock although rather close to stoke will be included in the first South Edition, as its technically below that 53 Degree North, by a few miles anyway. ;)

Must admit to being blown away at the screensshots and video shown already. stunning work

Just got home from Cosford. GB south looks fantastic. Now deleting all currently installed X plane ortho scenery for Wales and England south of 53 degrees north.

Fantastic, Thats the info im looking for, so since the 53 Degree North passes through Stoke, im guessing that my house might just sneak onto the South region in cannock.  Fabulous news.

    Cant wait for the weekend.
