  1. I apologize Anna, I did not realize the situation for Eugene. I will keep my head down and will be patient. Stay safe.
  2. Thank you for the update Anna but, did I miss where the long awaited Asia scenery development is for the the P3d Flight Simulator? I'm sure those P3d developers are disappointed they did not even get a mention in an Orbx release? Seems to be all about the continuously, fault correcting, MS Scenery Simulator, or the Xbox Game, without multiscreen capability? Imagine if Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word had been released to business in the same state? There would have been an uproar from the users. Instead, users put up with 60Gb 'development updates'. I have to admit though, screen captures from the MSFS Simulator are great, but I think the package is a long way from being accepted as a true interfaceable Flight Simulator like the Lockheed Martin P3d. My opinion.
  3. I believe it is the 'Siding' Springs Observatory Ken
  4. This is a screen grab of me parked at Gate 5. Are you sure you haven't modified the parking positions with GSX at some stage? Maybe you need to press 'verify files' for YSCB in Orbx Central. Do you have Orbx Canberra City as well? If you installed it last then P3d may be using that AFCAD file? Aussie
  5. I was welded to Version v4.5HF3 for a long time due to how good it ran with most of the Orbx packages. I finally bit the bullet and jumped to Version 5.2 then HF1. As John says, it is well worth the investment. Things are a lot smoother. Aussie
  6. I noticed this effect when changing from v4.5HF3 to v5.2HF1. I'm a fan of your waves Larry and I had to make sure I re-installed it when upgrading the library from 4 to 5 in Orbx. It does not happen all the time but does get your attention. I thought it was related to the sun's direction. I would be interested in getting a copy of the file if anyone has time to fiddle with it. Aussie
  7. Personally, I have all of the P3d Aussie airports but I don't fly from YBBN too often, as it is frame intensive on my B737 system. (not like the YBCG/ Gold Coast combo which I enjoy at about 20FPS low level). I did a low level test circuit from YBBN, before I bought Brisbane City so that I could compare the view. I noted that I had 15FPS at YBBN and when I was over the city, in sight of YBBN, about 18FPS. I installed Brisbane and the same circuit brought my system to 15FPS. As I move away and gain altitude, I get to my set 30FPS. The view is very good however, and well worth the $9. Aussie
  8. My white lines slowly disappeared as i mucked around with various setting in V5.2HF1. So I don't know what got rid of them. I'll attach my settings. Just a reminder, I have four screens in surround View Group, all at 1920 by 1080. I also use a RTX GeForce 2070 Super. In Nvidia I have told it to use the application settings. I may have changed the Mesh resolution or the Tessellation Factor?
  9. I found this interesting today. 14,683 kilometres. The flight also marks a milestone moment for Darwin Airport, which will become the first airport in Australia — and one of very few in the world — to have received non-stop flights from all six permanently inhabited continents. 10. I have the same tears at the Orbx scenery joins as well. All over the world. Even out to sea on approach. General start at about 20 miles out and some heal as they get closer. I'm on v5.2HF1. Had them since going from v4.5HF3 to a new install of V5.2. If I pause my 737, they heal up in about 10 seconds. A bit annoying. Good to know if there is a solution. Aussie
  11. Thank you very much for the update on the work involved and sample images Eugene. Made my day. Please pass on our thanks to the Team. Be assured, there are quite a few of us waiting to embrace your work and glad to know we haven't been forgotten. Aussie
  12. Another month and no news from Orbx. I specifically log in each morning to scroll down and check the forum. Doing a forum search, I think it is over three months since a Developer or Orbx have commented. Aussie
  13. Maybe it was this one before it was named 'City of Townsville'? VH-EAF Boeing 707-338C (aussieairliners.org)
  14. I particularly like the well thought out animations and ground traffic.
  15. You are correct. I can. Personally, I just thought I would get tired after the first 80 airports, plus then looking up the ICAO/IATA identifiers. I still endorse DTH's suggestion if it is possible.
  16. Or plus, maybe a print out capability, for the Orbx Central Discover map with the airport designators near their location?
  17. The last I heard was that 'Asia' (the remaining part of the LC world) had been divided up and was to be worked on as individual sections. An update telling us how each section was going would be welcome. Is any area in beta? What has been put on the backburner? I have a feeling, the section I am waiting on may be the last. Aussie
  18. I'd am still very interested in an update on LC Asia. The initial announcement was full of potential but not having updates is very annoying. Any news or the reason for the hold up would be appreciated. Aussie
  19. As a RAAF photographer, I flew regularly, shooting air-to-air photography from many aircraft over quite a few years. In the back seat of our Mirage IIID fighter aircraft, the 180mph high angle of attack landings were always impressive. Experienced over 20 of those. Aussie
  20. 'the Queensland airport' Yes - Queensland is a small place (only about two and a half times the size of Texas ) I'm sure you mean Queenstown. There is a basic representation of Queenstown airport included in the South Island package. Not bad but the Queenstown NZQN package improves on it, and the surrounds, greatly. Both play together nicely and merge seamlessly. It is the same with all of the Orbx New Zealand airports. The photos on the NZQN Store page shows what you get. Compare them with your South Island scenery before you buy. Aussie
  21. Try it without EA; Dynamic 3D autogen; and maybe take the target frame rate to 30FPS to test. Texture resolution only needs to match your vertical resolution eg. 1080
  22. Have you tried Detail radius; Tessellation; and Scenery Complexity sliders all over to the right? Your card should be able to handle that?
  23. On the first page of the P3d Options/Graphics, Does the top right box show your RTX 3090 in use? (Particularly for Full Screen?)I guess you used the 3090 to set up your View group? What resolution are you using for each of the screens in your view group? As Nick says, you should post a few shots of your settings.
  24. Very nice images Iain, Personally, I glad I made the move from v4.5HF3 directly to v5.2HF1. In it, the Orbx world looks amazing and a significant improvement in FPS for me. I have a full size 737 cockpit with four wrap around monitors (1x75" and 3x55") providing 210 degrees of view. (Hence, MSFS is a waste of drive space to me) The image quality has gone up with v5.2 and it is very smooth. The 4 monitors run fine from one RTX 2070 Super. I run them at 1080p so I have the equivalent of a 7680 X 1080p image, 17 feet wide, at 30FPS. I enjoy it. I can vouch that when you are 'within' the Orbx scenery on v5.2HF1 it is impressive. (even though I can't post the wide images ) Aussie
  25. Oops Timmo, I was getting confused with the selection sliders in Sky Force. What I meant was, have you checked both of the P3d addresses in Options are pointing to V5.2 and not 4.5?
