Hi Carlos, Not sure if you've gone ahead and purchased this? I have both as well. I'm torn between the two...
Pluses for LVFR- small details surrounding airport modeled much more closely to RL. Cityscape. Traffic flollows (FSLTL) correct RL procedures. If I could use just amsim / BMW for the actual airport terminal and use LVFR for everything else I'd be pretty prertty satisfied.
Negatives for LVFR- Terminal looks way out dated in terms of textures and details. Gates look pretty bad. Not enough clutter. No green center lights. Huge blobs for holdshort lights. Tarmac overall is super bumpy with big dropoffs / dips in some areas. Duplicate windsocks- have to go get a 3rd party fix. No car traffic on the 5 under the approach path. Still no midway ship replaced- they just removed it and that was it. Still trying to find old version so I can have it back.
Pluses for AMsim/BMW- Nice terminal buidings and gates / interiors. Green center lights.
Negatives for AMsim/BMW- they "fixed" an issue with ai traffic- however ai still doesn't seem to like RWY 27 and when they do try to use it they don't taxi all the way down like in RL. I noticed recently there are raised (edge lights) on the threshold area of RWY 27. The gates seem to not like ai traffic either- they start out ok in the right position but as soon as a plane leaves the gate the next one has a gate plowed through it. Not sure how I feel about the construction area- looks too clean but I can live with it. Flood lights incorrect. No yellow holdshort lights- they do have wig wags. No cityscape. Marina looks too neat and repetative. More ships / details needed for harbor area. No LED lights on downtown buildings. No car traffic on 5.
I contacted LVFR a while back- they stated they had a team working on these things. I highly doubt that. Seems that they went to modeling planes instead of scenery. Seems that both developers at this point have left lots to be desired. Wish someone would come along and do some real justice. There aren't many other airports with such a nice and challenging approach.
