  1. AYPY Jacksons got my instrument rating and some twin endorsements there so my favourite for testing new aircraft/refresher ILS training as the setup remains much the same as it was and the Orbx scenery is an excellent rendition of POM and surrounds, PLUS so many other nearby airfields with which I was familiar.
  2. Bert Hinkler Kingsford Smith AND his crew{s} Bobby Gibbes Douglas Bader Guy Gibson Leonard Cheshire Followed by so many post WWII in the jet era.
  3. Indeed Patrick he was a vital part of my, and probably millions of others, musical development, so much more than just great balls of fire - he had the blues, the swing, the jazz, the soul and the country. A massive contribution and inspiration over many decades it's sad to see the "Last Man Standing" finally leave. VALE KILLER!

  16. Totally agree Roger - helicopters AKA eggbeaters - they don't fly, they beat the air into submission I once asked a mate who is a verry good chopper pilot what was the secret, he said, "Imagine you are going down a slope balancing atop a basketball while juggling a dozen eggs!". He also said they are much easier to operate in the sim (FSX) than in real life. Totally beyond me.
  17. Indeed Many Happy Returns Gents and hope you both have good'uns
  18. Operated them all in FSX with Orbx (and the myriad freeware campaign scenery addons adjusted to suit) my favourite of that lot was the Spits of which there were 2 excellent versions available with multitudinous variants and paints available.
  19. Many Happy Returns Mate! Hope you have/had a good'un
