  1. Short and sweet. Trying to depart LOWI / 8 on the kpt5j. Basically the departure threads you eastward the the valley until you are high enough to 180 and depart westbound. Four times today when reaching RUM and commencing the course reversal the aircraft freezes at approximately 3/4 of turn. Screen is then frozen solid. Sim sounds continue. Only a visit to task mgr and killing MSFS at that point is possible but there is no other indication of a crash like a typical CTD.

Four times, two different aircraft. On the fifth try  simply deleted LOWI and problem solved. Aircraft is still flying as. Type this some 15 min. later. Also on the fifth try, the 180 corse reversal that worked, it appeared to complete much faster than the four previous failed.

  2. Well it was off to a clunky and ignoble start, but my experience was MS cranked up bandwidth within the first 90 min or so and things picked up after that.

Beyond that, Asobo hit a solid Home Run and some well say it was out of the park and others will say different. Regardless of your viewpoint there is no denying THIS is now the king of the hill.

Looks darn good to at locked 60 FPS solid (all green) post SU5 as opposed to locked 30 FPS variable (mostly green some yellow and a little red)

And that is exactly what Asobo promised and I, at least, am well pleased

PS...FBW and WT updated their generous offerings today making the Neo, CJ4 and the WT3000 full compatible.

  3. Hi Nick.  I took a look at my library.  To my eye it appears to be a mess.  All my LC files are on top of my airport files and some of those extend down and intermingle with the base LM scenery layers, examples below.  Is there a way to make it resort itself out into the proper order?  I've already done a sync and a full verify files.

    Thanks,

Well - we have officially taken the logo out of the rectangle, so we can expand our horizons more easily... ;)

Jokes aside, we hope you like the new look, the logo and the wordmark. Clean and versatile (we think), carrying forward our history and origin.

More to come as we release bit by bit our new brand architecture.

Big team effort but kudos to our in-house creative, Alberto, labouring on this for a good chunk of time. He's having a nap now.

Im sorry and no disrespect intended or implied. FWIW, to me, the new logo does not imply or inform about Orbx. A nifty logo?  Sure. Brand recognition for Orbx?  Maybe not so much?

  5. Abudulaslam.  Read the topics in this thread about editing panel.cfg. Don't Rename the gauge, instead edit the name in panel.cfg.  Place the .dll in your panel folder(s) and both A/C shall work as promised.  Tonight when I get home I will aware my panel.cfg entries for both the Legacy and the Turbo Duke.  Both work for me flawlwssly in P3dv3 and v4

Downloaded the H850 (no new serial needed) and the A36 Bonanza and the C337H skymaster.  Both say new serial # needed.  Submitted a ticket to support.  Got new serials with new download link. Serials don't work for either A/C.

Anyone else having this same problem?

  7.

I wanted to share this for those like me who have RealAir products in both P3d v3 and v4.

The solution works perfect and is stunning in its simplicity and elegance.  Answer follows:

The RealAir Turbine Duke installer would have installed the aircraft to its own folder, outside of P3d V3, so the first post in this thread explains how to get the aircraft working in P3d V4 with the new add-on.xml method. To make the TD sound gauge work in both V3 and V4 simultaneously, follow Doug Dawson's suggestion but do not edit the entry for gauge21, but rather add Doug's gauge as gauge25. The two versions of P3d will both ignore the wrong versions of the gauge and only use the correct version. I just checked this and it worked for me. Report back if you notice a problem.

  8. Ok, quick question for those, like me, with both the RealAir Legacy and the TD.

First time I migrated (day 1 P3dv4) I took the cheap and easy way out.  I simply pointed the installers to P3dv4 folder.  It worked, but...I kept getting "Duplicate objects" error messages when starting up whichever sim it was installed

    last in (v3 or v4)

After a while it became clear to me. Install my P3d v3 instance in the P3d v4 addon aircraft folder.   V3 saw it installed in just a different folder and v4 didn't care because any thing installed in the addon folder gets ingested automatically.  That worked great AND gave the added benefit of making the RealAir config tool work for both sims.  So far so good, but remember now I have a singular instance of each of the RealAirs working correctly in both sims, albeit without flaps/gear sound in P3dv4.  Now today I find out the sound gauge is released for 64 bit.  Pleased I am and have been looking forward to going home and installing the new gauge, but a problem has arisen. If I install 64 bit gauge in my singular installs, then I flip from no sound in v4 to no sound in v3, or worse...it probably won't load in v3

anyone figured this one out yet?  I thought about building a couple of batch files to chose the proper gauge, depending on which sim 32bit / 64 bit I want to fly, but in today's world that seems kludgey and so twentieth century LOL.  Any better ideas?

    thanks in advance,

    -Braun
