Hi Don
Sorry to hear of your issues. I don't see the issues that you were experiencing with the toolbar.
For what its worth, I did see that this was reported during the SU13 beta, and there was a workaround from a "Mr Fuzzy" that was able to
restore it. However , I got the message when I went to the link at the MS site that it was removed or was private.
I am assuming that you also went to the content manager and redownloaded all the items there that are indicated that are also part of the
Su13 upgrade. If you missed that part, then it will take a while as there is a lot to download, but it should solve some of the issues.
With respect to Milford Sound, since New Zealand is also one of the geographical areas that was part of the SU13 update, you will need to again
remove the Asobo version of Milford Sound

Scroll down to page 3 for NZMF .
Hope this helps

Hi Carlos
If you go the the MS flight simulator website, click on forums , you will then see an updated report on the
issues of yesterday.
In addition there is a step by step guide on how to deal with the decompressing issue

Hi Russ
There is a lengthy topic at Avsim ( https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/637469-new-version-of-rex-accuseason/ ) on
the new update.
I could be mistaken, but as you have entered your Orbx details correctly and Accuseason is now no longer working, you would need to reach
out to Rex themselves for support , as this is not an official Orbx product, but is only resold by them.
Contact details for Rex are given in the above topic posting. In addition, I seem to recall that there were some postings regarding the issue that you
have encountered, so hopefully they may be of help as well.
Cheers

Looks quite like the real thing. But the better the scenery, the more I miss PeopleFlow…
Thanks Gerold
You & me both. Empty airport remind me too much of the last 3 yrs and the Covid times.
I've always wonder why a enterprising developer didn't come up with a customizable add on that would allow
you to place people and groups where ever you wished in an airport.
You could then customize it to your hearts content Airports by and large depend on people for their existence.
It would be very nice if MS2020/24 could incorporate that.
Cheers & thanks

Hi Nick @Nick Cooper
Just a brief update
I saw on Avsim that Reed Stough from Rex Simulations posted the following ...
"
We will be updating through Orbx, but we are still working with them to get things setup. Probably be ready in a few days at most. "
So all will be good.CheersPete- 1

Hi Don
I also had some elevation mismatches, which I eliminated by temporally deactivating the Orbx New Zealand mesh package.
I use addon linker, so it is easy to reactivate when I am outside of the NZMF region addon areas. I find the Orbx addon
really adds a lot to the scenery to have it turned on.
Hope you get it all working. NZMF is a superb piece of work.
Really makes me want to go there to visit

Hi John
I have used both over time, and now have hardwired connection, which I prefer.
Before I come to any conclusions on wifi, I would try to rerun the test as close as possible to your wifi signal source.'
Although your wife's laptop gets a similar throughput , both are being influenced by the topography of your home environment.
It seems to be the nature of the beast with wifi.
As an example, with wifi6 on my phone, walking around the house with the little speed meter I have on it, i get anything from around 40-75 mb/sec to close to
900 mb/sec when I am physically right beside one of the wifi access points. So from my observations in my home, my best answer is that it will vary a lot, depending
on where you are and how near/far you are from the signal source and what is between you and the source.
Hence my comment to getting an observation point as close to the signal source as possible to establish a reference point.
Streaming to MS2020, seems to be fine with anything between 35 - 50 mb/sec as a minimum , so from my experience wifi is workable.
The ethernet direct connection to my machine is 1.9 GB/sec and the only time that I honestly see the benefit is dowloading very large files ( updates
are a breeze) or when streaming videos. Just anecdotal information , but whenever I have watched streaming download speeds form the Azure side when running MS2020, it peaks at around 200 mb/sec and is normally around 100 mb/sec.
This gives a rock solid performance with MS2020, and fingers crossed, but I don't see any artifacts with data streaming for MS2020 that are normally
discussed on other websites.
With wifi , I did see some latency in scenery loading when I had a 60 mb/sec max download wifi speed. With a hardwired connection that so far is now past history.
This is the one reason I prefer a hardwired connection.
The other issue with wifi, and this may be influencing your speeds is how close you are to your neighbours and which channels they are broadcasting on. Where we live this is an issue even with 5GHZ. In your case, if you can change the channels on your router, with a little bit of detective work with one of the wifi apps on your phone, you may be able to find a channel or channels that are less busy , and that could help your speeds significantly.
Bottom line though for my situation, we have so much interference on wifi, that a wired connection is a much preferred option
Cheers

Hi Gerold,
It's a bit like riding a bike. The basic skills are fine on your side, just practice a bit working out where all the controls are.
Enjoy!

Hi Wayne
Hopefully the following will be of some help to you.
This is a good video and I recommend watching it all the way through as all you need to take away from it is the logic of how camera views can be saved
and retrieved. It is also very useful if you decide that you want to modify a view you have and resave the modified view **
Now for the The easy way to views ....
Go to the following link at flightsim.to and download the custom camera views package.
You won't actually have to go through any of the steps in the video , as everything is set up for the authors choice
of basic views.
https://flightsim.to/file/21684/custom-cameras-and-views-for-almost-every-airplane
Following the instructions for installation (it is very straightforward) and after you have installed the package, start up MS2020 and
go to your aircraft of choice. Go into the cockpit camera view and then just press the number keys to cycle through the camera views .
The author of this package has created custom camera views for just about every plane available and he is very good at updating it.
If you have an aircraft that is not available in the package, you can follow the steps in the video to create your own
**Also if you prefer a particular variation of a view in the package , you can simply move your mouse/keyboard arrow keys to rearrange to your liking
and then save the new view . As described in the video, all you do to save a view is crtl + F(a number i.e, F7 as in crtl +F7) . This then saves that view to your
number 7 key and when you are in that aircraft, pressing the number 7 key will retrieve that view for you.
Just remember to use the same num key for your save as the one you used to get that view from the package or you will
overwrite another different view , i.e. if you retrieved the view with the number 7 key as in the above example, to resave your modification, use crtl + F7 to save
your new customized view to the number 7 key.
You can of course, modify all the views for the aircraft you fly, if you want. I just find that most of of the package views are
all I need and this is the quickest way I know to get to the end result.
And lastly just check in Options > General > Camera (NOT the in-flight Camera Menu) make sure that Height, Horizontal Position, and Zoom are all set to 50.
These are global settings and if they are different from 50, then all views will not display correctly.
This is a very old bug in MS2020 and what I have noticed through various updates is sometimes it gets fixed and is at a default setting of 50 (Oh joy - they fixed it )
only to find in the next sim update that it has shifted again . Currently in Simupdate 12 , it seems to be back at 50.
However since it is global you only need to check and reset if necessary and you are good until another sim update requires a rinse and repeat cycle.
Hope this is of help
Cheers

I agree with the sentiments of the original poster. The big benefit of using Orbx Central is that it is simply "no fuss, no muss - it just works".
After wading through all the "chatter" on this subject at Avsim ,which mirrors Nicks link in most respects (thanks Nick!), I just don't have confidence
that the methodology will be seamless and without issues.
I can appreciate that there will be many who have followed this approach with success, but I have no desire to become the exception to the
rule.
At the moment I continue to use the original product and am hopeful that Orbx will be able to do their magic to make the upgrade available
through Central.
Thanks
Pete
