  1. Not good for me to make a recommendation for fellow travelling forum Members, because if you are like me I loose my dental prothesis every so often. So I am looking for a "Mash and Peas " take away!
  2. Just had my catataract surgery, I can see a dam thing, let alone some hypothetical cercles!
  3. Well I love flying around Australia, at least I know where I am . But those last couple of days I tried something more eccentric Flying from Calcutta to Paro VQPR in Bhutan. Trying to land on rwy 15 nestled amongst towering mountains . I heard only a dozen or so Pilots are licensed to fly the 320 on that dangerous route . Needless to say I am not one of them . despite several attempts . I ever anyone of you has ever tried this airport, I be interested to hear what settings to use for this crazy approach . I the meantime I stick to OZ. Incidentally I found YPDN for MSFS for a few bucks on the European site SIM Market Charles
  4. This makes sense. Thank you John for your input. Charles
  5. I wish we had some of this cold weather our way, I am melting under the the rescent temp and humidity. But then, Mark Twain said "Everybody talks about the weather and nobody does anything about it"
  6. I did fiddle with the settings ,( mostly lower everything) but no much luck . Moving the Community and Official folders to the external SSD did not affect the performance of the Sim, So I am a little bit lost
  7. I am not sure what causes this graphic problem. Is this due to the settings in MSFS or to the fact that I have moved the Community folder and the Official folder to a dedicated Ext SSD drive . I do seem to have this problem with an other airport , bought from the market place ! All other Orbx airports are fine Any help to solve this mystery is most welcome Charles
  8. Live weather, mostly, but I am often annoyed by the change in weather. Prepare myself and the aircraft for a particular runway , only to find out on taxiing that the wind changed direction! and another runway has to be used. Same and even more annoying is this problem with landing
  9. Looks like we are just cows, and Microsoft is keeping us poor simmers, in the milking shed! But on the latest updated Microsoft tell us that the add-ons purchased on the Market place will be transferred in MSF 2024 . Also they will keep up with the road map of MSF2020 Anyone for the new sim , consider also a new computer! and , and, and a friendly bank manager or at best a very, very understanding wife.
  10. You are right AussieFlyer the Bravo is a pain with P3D but in MSFS it's a breeze. I would be without it. Some complicate settings are well explained in You Tube Yeah I also throw some gear away Track-ir is one of them after I fall off the chair!!!
  11. Just a question of mathematics. How can you have 1000 + flights and 6000+ landings? I am puzzled? Cheer Charles
  12. I fly a kite in the backyard, and you can sometime see me flying it at the Yamba beach. Oops you meant planes? That another story, I am an imaginary Captain! But seriously Fly by Wire 320 neoxxx with my de facto 1st Officer from MultiCrewX. I enjoy every moment when my french accent gets in the way and the so called 1st Officer shuts down my engines during take off..... Sacre Bleu
  13. Would say a screwdriver. Everything I touched is usually screwed up
  14. Yep long range tank for the long haul
  15. If everything else fails just invite a few friends to come over for a Barbie & Beer, and then ask them to put it together, that is if they still want to eat!!
  16. Before assembling anything, I buy some lego to practice on.
  17. Jean de la Fontaine, in is fable "le laboureur et ses enfants" (The farmer and his children) said: Work hard, churn up the earth, dig deep and deeper and you will find a tresor. The punch line to that fable is: If you work hard, your life will be full of rewards , this is the TRESOR!
  18. Well Guys Thank you Every one so much for the good wishes Yes I did celebrate for the third time my 25th Birthday It's a weird feeling when only a few years back I was looking at all those good old people , never thing that one day I would be one of them Thanks everyone once again From the all my heart I appreciate those good wishes Charles
  19. My wife always told me , there is something wrong with my brain, now I know, thanks to flyingleaf diagnosis
  20. I can fly a Dash 400, or so I think, I can ride a bicycle without training wheels, I can start a car with a screw driver, I can start a fire without matches, I can start an argument without saying a word, but I cannot start using Orbx discord. I received the following messages. My invite is not valid, I am not authorised to... I had too many attempts etc. etc Nothing harmonious about this Orbx invite, but then, doesn't discord mean a lack of harmony
  21. Fancy reading those posts. This is exactly what we had for din din last night . Tim Tans and a cuppa tea
  22. ATC told me clear to land !!!!, I say: "Sack those Cairns Controllers "
  23. When I turned 40 , someone told me : From now on, it's downhill all the way. 35 years on , I reduced my power, I put my spoilers on, flaps to 5 and slowly prepare my approach . Hopefully this this approach will take me several more years.
  24. I just took a ride from Dinan to around the Mount St Michel, and yes Louis every 6 hours it's an island . Did not go there ( in real life) since my honeymoon, and was pleasantly surprised to see a good reproduction in FSX of the monument. Not so sure if this is misplaced , I flew practically blind and found it immediately. Despite hearing that FTX did not cover Northern France , ORBX Global seem to have done good job with of the country side and perhaps even the Mount St Michel! Cheers Charles
