  1. Very good narration, Gerold. To aliviate the night flights, I sometimes use the time preview function, so that I can take at least some pictures. But then again, other flights are so stuffed with sight seeing that I end up with a lot of nearly identical pictures.
  2. Brilliant and epic, the key adjectives have already been mentioned.
  3. Very good shot! I don't dare to ask which simulator it was taken in.
  4. Thank you Gerold for the great trip report! It makes me want to fly the 777 again, but I have four different 737 flights ahead before I start a new rotation. I should casually remind myself that it's a hobby... Your trip also reminds me of my trip with the Air France 777 to Capetown. There's always a lot of thunderstorms in Central Africa, I remember having to make huge diversions and fly around entire countries due to the weather. How was the weather during your trip? Did you have a lot of thunderstorms along the way?
  5. Very good flight, Gerold. Mixing in the real shots is a great idea, actually.
  6. Made me laugh, gracias papi. Though I'm not a papi. Too much flight sim I guess.
  7. Paso cada día por acá para ver si hay algo de nuevo... It's true that I'm seldomly at the screenshot section and commenting. I have a few ideas on posting something, though.
  8. Marvellous shots, mi amigo! The visuals are really outstanding.
  9. Correct. The treatment of their more than loyal customers over there is a shame. I remember very well that RSR made a thread outlining what updates they wanted to bring to their products, including an LNAV update for their P3D lineup and a cockpit visuals update for the 777. I remember how I paraphrased this over at their forum and how I got slandered in the most appalling way for it by Mr. RSR himself. Absolutely disgusting.
  10. I only ever fly normal operations, too... I never bother with simulated emergencies... all emergencies I encounter are due to sim glitches or pilot skills. RSR is the entity acting as PMDG's boss.
  11. Ah Crete... I have nice memories of vacations on the island when I was still very young. Particularly I remember a monastery in the center of the island and visiting the palace of Knossos. They have rebuilt parts of it, it's very nice there. I believe it is surrounded entirely by the city today. And nice flight. Now that we learned yesterday that RSR (possibly) betrayed his customers and there's probably not going to be any update for P3D: How's the QW 787 doing in comparison to the PMDG stuff?
  12. Thank you. Now that we learnt that Eugene, the developer, and familiy are safe and sound, it's completely legit to ask for a little update on the state of things!
  13. Thank you. The thing is that I, much like you, like sharing flight stories. When Orbx started enforcing its policy not to show third-party stuff, I became quite restricted at posting screenshot stories, since it is really rare for me to fly from one Orbx airport to another. Due to this policy (which is understandable from Orbx' point of view) posters are left to showcase screenshots (presenting exceptionally good shots like in the screenshot contest), and I am honestly not very good at this. I'm not even sure if it would be allowed to post screenshots of a scenery which is in the portfolio of a company that sells products via Orbx, but not this particular one. And that I take too much screenshots and am too lazy to sort them in time.
  14. How is @Eugene Krikunov doing, given the circumstances in his country? I didn't dare to ask earlier. Eugene, if you read this, I hope you are fine! Give us a sign of life, please.
  15. Saw this by chance. Very nice flight and nice aircraft, of course!
  16. Very good shots, Gerold!! Nice to see you in a big bird.
  17. Their work is even so good that I barely noticed any spam.
  18. Saw the thread by chance. Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Wolfgang!
  19. I'm very happy to see OpenLC Asia development in progress. I keep my fingers crossed for a 2022 release!!
  20. No, I did not bring up the sim topic. The sim topic was brought up by a user who stated: My comments were initially in response to this post, which brought up the issue. Anyway, just enjoy MSFS as I enjoy P3D and I am more than happy to close the topic. Agreed.
