  1. Hi everyone,

I recently found this excellent documentary from the 1990s about an Lufthansa A300 flight to Kathmandu. You can generate English subtitles, they are quite good.

I personally like these older documentaries, as they explain more and actually say something about the places shown. It contains some pretty good information about Tribuvan Intl Airport, and presents the approach in detail. Also, the time travel effect is quite nice.

    Enjoy

  2. I think this is really fun news. The cycle continues, as always. Add-ons will be portable, you just don't know the amount of work you have to spend to make it happen.

Kinda reveiling, too, regarding the reactions over at FSElite. People are truly blind.

  3. Needless to say I'm interested in this as well. The last thing I heard is that it was put on hold due to the situation in Ukraine, where Eugene lives.

I live in Germany and every day I see luxury cars with Ukrainian number plates. Ukrainians come here, get an apartment, a welfare cheque, and go back to Ukraine, because they want to see after their house and their belongings. Understandable, yes.

Eugene can come to Germany and do the same. Bring his family and start working on OpenLC Asia again. Would be the best thing to do.

PMDG 737, Fenix A320, ini A310, JF's 146 amongst others, there's a lot of options now in MSFS for high quality aircraft and PMDG's 737 BBJ and the ini A310 offers the ability to do longer flights. But there's still the gap for long haul aircraft, I'm not sure how often you frequent the PMDG forum if at all, but it won't be years until the 777 is in MSFS. I'd be suprised if it's not released by Q3 2023 :)

I think you are going to be surprised. ;) But yeah, maybe I will be surprised this time, who knows?

Good to hear you are fine and even working, Viacheslav!

The dark side of the medal is the silent end of the project "OpenLC Asia", which makes me (and some others, like @Captain Lars) sad. But we have more severe problems nowadays...

It's interesting that a dev is actually able to work in Ukraine given the circumstances.

I'm still very sad about OpenLC Asia!!! Let's face, it'll be a few years until PMDG finally get's their 777 to MSFS. Honestly I have no idea what all those people who are in MSFS now are flying with if they are into airliner flying. Looking forward to the TFDI MD-11, though.

  6. Thank you for checking out on this. I'm sorry for the delay in responding.

I don't know what Addon Linker is. I use Lorby SI Addon Organizer for checking the scenery order without having to open the simulator and for arranging the entries.

It now shows at the top of my in game scenery library, but different than yours. In both our cases it does not matter that it is at the top because it is install via .xml method in an external location.

You are right that it does not matter, at least most of the time. I think addon.xml entries and scenery.cfg entries do interact, don't they?

Anyway, I like to have my scenery library well ordered to not lose the overview, so I moved the entry in question to the top of the PNW section.
