  1. I also wish you Don and all the other people here in the forums a Merry Christmas.
  2. PS: I have judt seen in the Screenshot forum that the price for winning the monthly contest has been reduced from "an Orbx product of your choice" to "100 Orbs". For 100 Orbs you'll get almost nothing.
  3. Since prices are generally rising these days, I would have understood a slight increase of numbers of Orbs needed but not an increase of fifty (50!!!) percent. And why should anyone spend 30 Orbs for something he can also get for free (e. g. Portland Cityscape)?? For me it looks like the apprentice is responsible for managing the Orbs system.
  4. Now it is becoming ridiculous.
  5. Chris is right. Since I have checked the Orbs "prices" the last time a few days ago there has been an insane increase of prices by 50 % (!!). At least for the products I am interested to buy and therefore remember the prices. E. g. the costs for LIEO and KSBA for MSFS have increased from 200 Orbs per airport to 300 Orbs per airport. That's a bit too much IMO and I do hope that's caused by error.
  6. Is this with default AI traffic or with an add on traffic program?
  7. Thank you Iain and Merry Christmas also to you and yours and to all the Orbx staff and forum members.
  8. For the small gances you get from the terminal interior while sitting on the flight deck not the whole interior has to be modelled in that detail which is currently en vogue. There are interior areas modeled which you will never see from the cockpit. The bit of the interior which you can see from the cockpit has already been included in legacy airport without loosing the focus on the essentials. Of course outside landside areas can be seen from the stand at many airports, also during taxiing and out of the corner of the eye during finals. I have nothing against this stunning interior being modelled. What I do not like is that developing the interior in such details extremely prolongs the waiting time for the release of a new airport.
  9. The point is that this is much better quality. Following your thoughts there was no point in the great payware versions which have been developed or are currently developed for already enhanced default airports like LOWI or ESSA just to mention two. Edit: And I think it is up to the developer, what he likes to create, the more Andreas is a freelancer as I understand it. I am pretty sure he and Orbx will see potential sales for this airport.
  10. As stunning and awsome all these interiors are looking which are currently added by many developers, I prefer it when developers put their emphasis and time on the really important areas of an airport which are 1) outside airside 2) outside landside It seems funny to me personally seeing more and more ads and previews of aiports showcasing almost more interior than outside pics (not valid for Orbx). This development is pointing in the wrong direction. It might fit a passenger sim, but not a flight sim.
  11. A Qantas hangar alongside a Northorp Grumman hangar - that must be Brisbane YBBN, International Terminal.
  12. Thanks for stepping in Graeme. I was a bit lazy looking for the right pic. So, Sunglass Hut indicates, that it is an Australian airport. Emirates Lounge tell us it must be an international one. Now we have the choice.
  13. I think even "not totally" might be too much.
  14. Blackshark AI have a contract with MS/Asobo and contribute a major very important part for MSFS. I highly doubt that the terms of contract with MS/Asobo will allow them to work with Unreal Engine or LM on products which are in direct competition to MSFS. And IMO Blackshark won't have any interrest to swap MSFS for P3d. Why should they?
  15. I appologize for mixing this act of terror in Entebbe up with the hijacking of the Lufthansa 737 "Landshut" and the showdown in Mogadishu. I blame it on my age So @Nick Cooper or one of the other admins, could you please remove my first post in this thread? Thank you!
  16. Does this mean, you have built yout helicopter base within an Orbx scenery?
  17. Carlis, I have been there last July and as @ESGG Spotter said, it looks like to be a permanent structure. Following your suggestion one could demand a panel for removing any structure at an airport, which is not to his liking.
  18. @Stillwater Gerold, will pics of airports by Orbx partner companies be okay?
  19. The above is not correct. On short final at many airports there is a discrepancy between PAPI and ILS indications in real world. This is stated in quite a few YouTube tutorials about flying ILS approaches by real world pilots. Then the ILS signal is lower then the PAPI path. On long finals it very often is the other way round, because it is quite a difference in height sitting on a 747 flightdeck or in a Cessna 152. So generally PAPIs are more applicable for smaller GA planes rather than airliners But I cannot specifically comment on LIEO, becauseI don't own this scenery.
