  1. The ObjectFlow error message mysteriously disappeared when I opened Orbx Central today. So thanks, apparently no further investigation is needed.
  2. Operating system: Windows 10 Simulator: P3D v5 Screenshot: See attached Issue: When updating ObjectFlow in Orbx Central's main library error message appeared (shown below). Performing Verify Files did not correct issue, nor did uninstalling and reinstalling ObjectFlow. However when tested ObjectFlow appears to be working as before. Can the error be resolved or the message removed? Particulars: Orbx Central v4.1.10 Prepar3D v5 - Orbx ObjectFlow 3.0.4 - May 2020 ___________________________ AddOnxml (located in main library): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <SimBase.Document Type="AddOnXml" version="4,0" id="add-on"> <AddOn.Name>Orbx ObjectFlow</AddOn.Name> <AddOn.Description>Allows Orbx scenery to display dynamic content.</AddOn.Description> <AddOn.Component> <Category>DLL</Category> <Path>bin\Orbx_ObjectFlow_v3.dll</Path> <DLLType>PDK</DLLType> <DLLStartName>module_init</DLLStartName> <DLLStopName>module_deinit</DLLStopName> </AddOn.Component> </SimBase.Document> central.log
  3. I needed to take an additional step: After installing and opening Orbx Central Fastlane was blocked. Then I went to the AppData\Roaming folder and deleted all the Orbx entries (except backup). Then when I reinstalled Central 4.1.6 it opened with Fastlane selected -- of course, or it would have been 4.1.1 again. So all appears well now. Thanks Mitchell for your quick response.
  4. Operating system: Windows 10 Simulator: P3D v5 Screenshot: see attached Issue: I had been running Orbx Central 4.1.1 (fastlane) with P3Dv4 successfully. I've now uninstalled P3D v4 and installed P3D v5 ; all the Orbx folders remained as they were. When opening Orbx Central I got a pop-up screen asking me to select a simulator (with no way to get to any of Central's screens). The highest version listed is only v4; I selected that as I assumed I could correct that once updating to 4.1.6. When I went to General / and clicked Update nothing happens except the whirling circle just goes on and on, but there's no update loaded. I've looked for a way to uninstall and reinstall Orbx Central (the current download at Orbx Direct still shows v4.1.1) so even after installing that the result is the same. How can I install v 4.1.6 so I can get P3D v5 recognized? central.log
  5. "Remember that P3D has multiple ways to add scenery. Besides scenery within the sim folder, scenery can be located in an Orbx library, in your Prepar3D v5 Add-ons folder, or in an external folder specified by your scenery.cfg. It depends on how you have chosen to set up your scenery. It's not likely that the offending file is in one of these other locations, but I've fooled myself in the past with such issues." Yes, P3D apparently was reading a trafficBoats.bgl file from a backup of the earlier LR_PNW_ferries_complete installation (though I could find no reference to that in P3D's scenery.cfg file. Anyway I deleted the LR_PNW_ferries_complete backup folder and all is well now. Larry, thanks for your guidance.
  6. An oversize ferry appears at the Anacortes 74S landing together with a smaller, properly-scaled boat at the same landing, thereby appearing to float inside the larger boat. In all other respects Pacific Northwest Ferries appears to function correctly -- Anacortes at other times of day, Friday Harbor, etc. I've tried all the required/suggested steps in the User Guide, but have somehow missed deactivating some previously-installed file. I tried deleting an odd file I found in my P3D root scenery/world/scenery: TrafficBoats_KFHR.bgl but no joy there (what's its purpose?) Searches for trafficboats*.bgl didn't turn up anything besides PNW ferries' installed "trafficBoats.bgl.disabled-by-pnwferries". Is there diagnostic information I should send?
  7. I was pleased to see The Citadel -- known as "the West Point of the South" -- is nicely modeled. With a future update please remove the trees from the green square facing the barracks; it's the parade ground, at N32*47.81 W79*58.21 (see attached) . (I attended the Citadel 1956-1958.)
  8. 85 at present -- been around flight simulation for quite a while. Especially enjoying meeting with long-term (and recent) friends in our monthly San Diego SimFlite club meetings -- from advanced desk-top sims to a member's home-built 737 cockpit, and another with a 3 axis sim sporting a salvaged Cessna cockpit. And so much on the horizon now to look forward to!
  9. Nick, Yes, I've reordered the Vector lines as shown in your #8 response, without effect. Response #13 in that thread suggests there may be one or more corrupted files in either the SoCal region or (more likely) in KSQL itself. Note in my OP screenshot that in addition to the munged highway there are "desert-like" brown textures here and there, which suggests the culprit isn't Vector, or at least something else is compromising the subject vector files. Looking forward to further ideas, perhaps from one of the developers?
  10. Operating system: Windows 10 Simulator: P3D v4.5 HF2 Screenshot: KSQL issue.png Issue: I-5 hwy is missing; also random brown textures As seen in the screenshot attached, it appears that a few San Carlos area tiles are missing. I've tried all the proposed fixes I've found in this forum for similar scenery texture display issues without success. Using the "early access" version of OrbxCentral I had migrated all my Global, NA & Europe LC, Region and airport files to an external SDD library; but have since reinstalled Global and the regions back to their P3D root location. I'm currently running V4Central 0.15. I've tried uninstalling KSQL and reinstalling that in P3D using FTX Central. Tried reordering Vector file sequence, confirmed correct Orbx insertion points, have looked for conflicting bgl files, ran verify files and simulator sync and etc, etc. Has anyone seen this issue and successfully resolved it? All my other Orbx sceneries I've checked so far seem to be ok, though some highways look crisper than others. central.log
  11. Thanks for the suggestion. By using LorbyP4AO I've managed to get Orbx' and my sceneries layered correctly (for the time being, at least). There's helpful insights in the Avsim P3D forum, by Lorby-Si and Rob Ainscough in particular. There's a robust discussion of P3D's scenery layer management implementation -- which perhaps would be helpful to Orbx Central's developers. See "New Orbx Central v4.0 now available to download" beginning at https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/557894-new-orbx-central-v40-now-available-to-download/?page=6
  12. That's the procedure I followed, which resulted in the Scenery Library screenshots shown in my initial post. I even set Orbx Central to Administrator as others have suggested, but without result. Concluding from related posts in this forum it may matter whether there are a significant number of 3rd-party scenery add-ons, the P3D version, or
  13. Operating system: Windows 10 64 bit Simulator: P3D v4.5 Screenshot: See attached Issue: Orbx Central - Settings - Insertion Point places Global Base at top of Scenery Library. Is there some way to manually modify Orbx Central's add-on xml files to place the base and LC files below the airport scenery files? If so where are these xml files located? Otherwise it appears P3D is loading these base texture files over the respective airport sceneries. This issue apparently is the consequence of Orbx Central's broken Insertion Point feature. Is there a recommended temporary work-around to properly organize Scenery Library file sequence until the Insertion Point feature issue is resolved? central.log
