  1. Lately I have been flying the A2A T6 around the American Midwest in P3D 6.19. The scenery and airports are much better than in P3D5. Up until P3D6 I was not flying much out of Orbx True Earth areas. I have no desire to try MSFS. I'm going to stick with P3D6 and maybe stick with P3D5. There are other developers making their scenery upgraded to P3D6. I'm hoping Orbx will add some of them as partners.
  2. Leaving KTEX, Telluride on a flight to KSAF Santa Fe. Circling up to get over the mountains. Finally on the way. Had to climb up to 14,600 to get over the mountains. This image has no post processing. This is right off the screen grab. The above two images have some cropping, a clarifying filter, and some color, saturation and contrast optimization in post processing, Which is better?
  3. Ah, the Comanche. Great Shots with another one of my favorite airplanes.
  4. OK, that fixed the problem. Now Central loads correctly and relatively quickly.
  5. Thanks Nick. I check on Central about once a week to see if anything has changed with P3D6.
  6. Orbx Central will no longer load on my system. It seems to stop loading at 230 mb and seems to start making copies of the exe file. Maybe its restarting the exe on its own? Luckily I don't need if for anything now other than checking on p3d6.
  7. i have been using Postimage for sometime without problems.
  8. I usually just start it loading and then do something else for 7 minutes.
  9. No I updated to 6.19 about 10 days ago. I got a box that said they were updating 50 files. It took about 30 or 40 minutes to download and install. No problems, it went very smooth. I have a personal account installation. A couple of days ago our internet was down for about 24 hours. A lot of people were down. Somebody accidently cut a large fiber bundle. Anyway, P3D would initialize, but was blocked from running. I got a message that I needed an internet connection. I knew this but just wanted to see what would happen. Maybe that's some sort of anti piracy thing. I have so much Orbx and other scenery that it takes about seven minutes to load from an SSD. I have an M2 drive that cuts the load time by over a minute, but the P3D5 installation nearly fills it up. At some point I'm going to move P3D5 to another drive and move P3D6 to the M2 drive, but for now it works fine, so I am reluctant to mess with it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  10. Great shot with another one of my favorite airplanes.
  11. This is a small update. Took about a half hour to do. The new updater worked without a problem.
  12. P3D6.19 update now available. Here is a list of items updated: Fixed issue where in some cases the gauge windows could incorrectly maximize when going in or out of full screen. Resolved crash that could occur in some instances when rendering flight plans in shared cockpit. Fixed issue where the initial flight plan segment would not connect correctly after a direct-from was entered in some cases. Various updates to the PDK DataHarvester sample. Various rendering system stability improvements including cases when the VRAM limit is exceeded while DLSS is enabled. Improvements to various airport backgrounds, elevations, and runways. Fixed crash that could occur when changing vehicles if custom cameras were being utilized. Added AUTOGEN_TREE_LOD_BIAS=1.000000 configuration option in the Prepar3D.cfg file. Setting the values under 1.0 will improve the performance of 3D trees at the cost of visual clarity; setting to 0.0 will disable 3D trees. Fixed issue preventing render-to-texture (RTT) views from appearing in docked panels. Fixed issue preventing IFR flight plan from being activated when flight plan was created or scenario with flight plan was loaded. Scenarios experiencing this issue will need to be saved again after updating for fix to take effect. Adjusted default width of fuel percentage column in Fuel and Payload screen.
  13. Not going to be just a touch and go. Need some altitude. Going out over the valley. Looping Up. Over the Top. Engine quits if I stay inverted but restarts after recovery. Did some decent rolls and a nice hammer head, but that was enough. This is on base leg then the final via the backdoor, runway 3, through the "V" in the hillside.
  14. Leaving Bolder City, KBVU. Down there off the right wing. Its Orbx pay ware in P3D. Like all my Orbx scenery I originally installed it in P3D5, and moved it all over to P3D6 with out much problem. Heading East to KSEZ.
  15. Thanks guys!
  16. About 0900, 1-11-24 on a flight in Southern Oregon from Brookings to Medford. This is a few minutes out of Brookings. I don't often see stratus clouds with Rex Skyforce,
  17. The aircraft is from Golden Age simulations. I have loaded three of their aircraft into P3D6.1 with no problems. Since this is True Earth Northern California I just assumed it was stock Orbx because of the animated sweepers. Frankly it maybe KGOO or KG zero, zero. If you ask the program for Grass Valley, California airports it comes up as the Nevada county airport. Like I said, I have never before seen that particular building. The airport is fairly well detailed. Some of the stock Orbx airports seem to show more details in P3D6 than before. Iain, you post such excellent shots in MSFS, you should post some shots in P3D6.1. The lighting makes it possible to get some truly stunning visuals.
  18. This is at the Grass Valley airport, KGOO, in Nevada County California. First time I have seen this airport building. Note the sweepers. Must be sweeping up turkey feathers. May have been a prop strike, but it wasn't me.
  19. This is the Golden Age Simulations Super Ryan above Lake Shasta in Northern California.
  20. Thanks to all. Merry Christmas too.
  21. Do you get that with different airplanes and/or in different areas?
