Thank you so much Pete for such a detailed and helpful guide to setting everything up.
You make it sound very straightforward, so fingers crossed!
There are many aspects about MSFS that I really like but setting up custom views is a major turn off, not to mention the incessant updates and ultra long loading times.
Best,
Rod

Does anyone have a really quick and simple way of setting up custom camera cockpit and exterior views in MSFS?
I've watched many videos on how to do it but they all have differing methods, none of which have worked for me.
In XP11 it's so simple - Ctrl plus Numpad to save a view, Numpad to load it.
In MSFS it seems uneccessarily complicated, as is the MSFS user interface.
All suggestions gratefully received.

Perhaps a check flight for one of the pilots?

Somewhat ironically this non-precision approach to RW23 in Queenstown NZ requires very precise flying skills!
Not for the faint hearted.
A great watch.

Anything to improve NZ scenery is most welcome so thank you Orbx, but I have to say I'm rather underwhelmed by this.
For me the benchmark is Lyndiman's ortho scenery of NZ for XP11.
It's absolutely stunning and the reason why I haven't completely embraced MSFS.

I have just bought Axonos's wonderful scenery of YPPH for XP11 and have to say it is extremely well done.
Perth has long been neglected in the flightsim world and it's great to have something of this quality.
What puzzles me though is why there appear to have been no preview or release announcements about it, or maybe I've missed something?
I came across it purely by chance on Orbx Central and immediately grabbed it.
Can someone enlighten me as to why it appears to have slipped under the radar?

A quick question for Tony Wrob - will NZ be getting any Orbx love in MSFS apart from Queenstown?
Some of the best (if not the best) VFR flying in the world yet its airports and landmarks neglected by so many developers over the years.

Excellent news Graham and thank you so much.
Are you rewriting flight plans for NZ airlines as well?
There've been some fairly significant changes on this side of the ditch such as the Air NZ B787 Auckland-Chicago direct flight.
Air Chathams has also expanded its operations around NZ with new aircraft and new destinations.
There are also a lot more new types of GA and light sport aircraft on the scene not to mention a whole swag of corporate and privately owned business jets swanning around the country.

Pete - you're a legend - thanks once again.
Cockpit views all good now with numpad.
Still working on exteriors but getting there slowly.
Compared to the relative simplicity of XP11, MSFS is a complicated beast with far too many settings and options.
My biggest gripe is that it takes forever to load.
I've had it on my system since initial release but only now getting my head around it!
Flying recreational aircraft, which I do in the realworld, is far, far easier.
Best,
Rod
