  1. Another interesting choice. & I am delighted Matteo has chosen an 8,265' long runway Plus with his Olbia & Gaya's Florence it makes a nice triangulated journey. When I look at screenshots of a new project for the first time, what usually catches my eye is color. In this case the 1st shot's ochre? building with the green roof does that. Catches the eye. As does the architecture of the airport buildings with their curved roofs. If you take Malmo, in simplistic terms it is a large flat airfield with a collection of low boxes assembled as an airport. But what catches the eye, makes it interesting? For me the yellowish color of the assemblage. Some nice touches at Bastia. The horses, the grader, & other scattered items that lend character to the place. If one stands back & surveys the flood of payware & freeware airfield & scenery that have rained down on MSFS, I would guess more than 500 pieces are in the market now, Bastia stands out for the care & attention to detail that Matteo has put into it. It deserves to do well & its a day one for me. TTM
  2. Excellent shots of an excellent Herc! What is its lineage & availability?? TTM
  3. I didn't realize until reading your fields bio that you were involved with S43, Harvey Field. Probably my favorite West Coast USA GA field. Attention to detail, the smoking BBQ, moving trains , 3 hot air balloons, & a tight field to get in & out of. A no-brainer purchase if it turns up in MSFS. TTM
  4. Some feedback - my initial reaction is one of ambivalence. I think had this been released before MSFS was announced/turned up in the Flight Sim scene, it would have sold very well. It is a massive undertaking. I think splitting it into 3 releases is a good idea. These days my flying is 95% MSFS, 5% P3D, & that 5% is due to the lack of aircraft I particularly like to fly not being available in MSFS, but I do have in P3D. Whether I purchase or not I think will come down to the pricing & 'what it looks like', ie, how much better it looks compared to the current default land class. & also how much SSD space it takes. I regret sounding negative on it, the problem from my perspective is that I have moved on to MSFS. Hopefully it will look good enough to entice me back to spending time & $ in P3D. In this regard, quality periodic 'teaser' swipe right to see the difference shots would help the cause. TTM
  5. Many deft touches evident in the shots. Love the blue Camaro. Concrete Municipal is not a name that sets the heart a flutter, yet there is character aplenty here & it has 'location, location. location' written all over it as regards bush flying. A nicely executed piece of work. TTM
  6. I could wax lyrical about this airport's craftsmanship & the screenshots, but I will keep it short - I like them. A must buy But I have a question - Shot #10, the Ryanair aircraft - how do you get the out of focus, (OOF), foreground & background effect? Also, OOF is present in several other shots, & the stunning engine nacelle interior shot. I think it's a drone camera setting but I haven't been able to track it down, so if someone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate that. TTM
  7. Interesting choice. Looks like Filou took some of the promo shots. (He is the master of the 'out of focus' drone shot) Which of the Orbx development teams is doing this one? TTM
  8. Very nicely created with an interesting selection of shots for an airfield with a lot going for it. I looked up the runway length online & it was given as 4,570' I am curious whether that includes the designated road, (feature shot), or you get 4,570' beyond the marker 'bricks' & ropes? Its Scandinavia, its another MB TTM
  9. I was rather hoping it was an active, & you had inside information. Its one I would really like to see in MSFS. It can get into all of your airports!! Pleased they will be appearing in MSFS. TTM
  10. Stunned by shot #17- where did the BAE 146/Avro RJ come from?? Airport shots also excellent. I hope Kiruna is in the MSFS WIP list. TTM
  11. Well, this is a stunner! Superb craftsmanship. Being 9 months + in development, it obviously has MS/Asobo consent. Perhaps Orbx could list all the other Cityscapes in the pipeline so that I can do some calculations to assess the size of the overdraft I need to apply for? I recall from my 1st visit to Sydney that crossing their suburban roads was an exercise in sprinting self preservation. Whereas in NZ the suburban speed limit was 30 mph, Sydney preferred 50 mph, & they drove up to & beyond that. Out of curiosity, will the highly detailed Harbor Bridge include moving vehicles?? TTM
  12. Interesting choice. A small cluster of buildings on a large scenic canvas. Could be a hard sell, yet Ken has worked his magic & tucked in plenty of detail where it matters, & made it a must have. I like the rustic ambiance radiating from the old hangar. & somewhere there may be a lawn mower tucked away, & or a Port-a-loo, signature KH touches. Nicely done again Ken. TTM
  13. That's what I thought. Thanks BTW, curious how much of the FSX Old Cessna you got across to MSFS. In P3D, shuffling through versions, I've had transfer aircraft where it is invisible, but engine runs [sound is there] & it will take off & fly, through to skeletal fuselage on the tarmac. What did you get?? TTM
  14. "I've invested heavily in FSX, and I was worried I would lose it all with FS2020. Now I know I won't!" Could you elaborate on the above observation? Do you mean you have FSX aircraft or scenery you can take into MSFS? Sorry, I'm a bit confused by what you have written. TTM
  15. I have been waiting for this announcement. Quality of the Orbx screenshots is such that any hesitation about adopting MSFS has gone out the window! There is a large catalog of Orbx products available for conversion to MSFS & they should find a ready market. Pricing is very fair. TTM
  16. Looks very crisp. I noticed all the images are SD. Have you gone away from HD & SD versions of XP TE regions? TTM
  17. Eberhard. Search Nigel Richards Avro Tutor in the Sim-Outhouse download library. TTM
  18. Freeware Avro 621 flying around the petite Orbx masterpiece by Tim Harris & Ken Hall, Catalina Island. I use the term 'petite' as the island is small, but a lot of attention to detail has gone into it. The keen eyed will notice the ubiquitous Lady in Red waiting under the entrance to the terminal, for a ride back to the mainland. I would also describe her as petite, but feisty. TTM (P3D v5) Heading East. What I am liking about v5 is that it seems to give more definition to distant objects, for example, the island & further on, mainland, under the Avro's wheels. Realistic scrub & rugged topography characterize Catalina Island. Note the walking paths, very nicely done. On approach. And there she is. Cast your eyes directly below the Catalina Island sign on the hangar on the RHS of the shot. Note the body language. Apparently I was late. After a long discussion she opted out, preferring to wait for a Learjet, or something covered in. Her initial concern was that the slipstream would mangle her coiffure. I offered her my WWI flying helmet & goggles, they were met with a look of horreuer. I asked her how she had got to the island & she was somewhat evasive. When I pressed her as to the reluctance to enjoy an open cockpit trip back to the mainland, there followed a long diatribe in broken French & Spanish from which I gleaned that she did not consider it lady-like to have to clamber over the side of the cockpit in a mini skirt. I offered to look the other way, count seagulls etc, but she would have none of that. With a demure peck on my stubbly cheek she wished me bon voyage & waved as I gallantly puttered off into the gathering dusk. Alone Silk scarf flapping behind in the breeze, like a 1 winged Albatross.
  19. Which suggests they will be aimed at XP TE Florida & TE Northern California respectively? Curious as to what features tell you that these are the airports in question? TTM
  20. VSkyLabs C-47 Skytrain around Orbx Stapleford clad in the Hay River Air Services livery. The livery is by SimSmith, (R. W. Heyen), & is one of a set of 27 Buffalo Airways liveries, (Fleet of Fancy #1), that are or have been used across 18 different airframes used by Buffalo. TTM
