They have the headings inclosed in brackets and the entries are bolded, followed by Performance Tuning Tips on the intended purpose of the fix. [DISPLAY] TextureMaxLoad=6 Non-Default entry. This entry will not exist in your Prepar3D.cfg file by default and must be added to the file. Performance Tuning Tip: This can induce stutters. Use multiples of 3 only such as 3, 6, 9, etc. This is perfect for photorealistic scenery [TERRAIN] SWAP_WAIT_TIMEOUT=30 Non-Default entry. This entry will not exist in your Prepar3D.cfg file by default and must be added to the file. Performance Tuning Tip: Using this rebuilds your shader cache by incrementing the number each time you make a change to the Prepar3D.cfg. [JOBSCHEDULER] AffinityMask=14 (TeeCee, I have mine at 243, works fare much better) Non-Default entry. This entry will not exist in your Prepar3D.cfg file by default and must be added to the file. Performance Tuning Tip: By default, Prepar3D will use all available processor cores. On machines with four or more cores, it will dedicate a core to rendering tasks. The easiest method for modifying the affinity mask is to open the windows calculator in programmer view, select the binary display mode, and flip the bits in the binary number displayed to select which cores the application should run on. Note that the cores are represented right to left. [MAIN] FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.33 (Mine is 0.11, I am getting too much stutter over 0.15, and 0.10 and below create blueries). Non-Default entry. This entry will not exist in your Prepar3D.cfg file by default and must be added to the file. Performance Tuning Tip: This setting, which defaults to a value of .33 (33%), defines the percentage of each frame that is devoted to loading scenery. Increasing this number can reduce "the blurries", but it can cause stutters, and can also reduce the overall frame rate. Try reducing the number to the lowest level where you still get smooth scenery paging. This will vary depending on disk speed as well as the type of flying, as well as the selected scenery settings.
  5. Hi Teecee, I am also answering on comments from Michael63 and TymK, after 3 weeks on intensive testings of all values and Prepar3D.cfg and the Nvidia configuration tool. My conclusions of course are in line with my solid bu not higher end PC specs and might not work on all PC.s. With more testings I will certainly also adapt some values. The first culprit to the bad graphic impression we have first in P3D (v2.4) is definitely FXAA which gives a too polished unrealistic graphic, turn it off on your P3D graphic page you will get much more sharp textures. On the same page, I have MSAA 8xsamples, Texture filtering = anisotropic 16x, Texture resolution 4096x4096, Vsync is on with tripple buffering checked, and my target frame rate blocked at 30fps. Remember to replicate the 30fps in the Nvidia cfg tool by selecting Vsinc = half refresh rate for coherence between Nvidia and P3D. In the P3D.cfg file, I have entered Fiber-frame-time-fraction = 0.11, created a new chapter (JOBSCHEDULER) with AffinityMask= 243 (ideal for a quad core Intel CPU with HT on). Under the graffic section, do not forget the old HighMemFix=1 and set texture quality to 6, you will see a huge improvement with your textures. As I am not in front of my P3D PC now, I cannot give more details but will forward my P3D and Nvidia.cfg files tomorrow if someone is interested for more details. Regards, Patrick, Geneva . .

Yes, the aircraft is the default Baron, FPS are the same with the QualityWings RJ85/100, just a bit slower (20-25) in very cloudy situations. Agree for the AI traffic but my priority is the scenery as sharp as possible. I will move to AI when I will change my GC for a gtx780 or 980. Kind regards.
  9. I have finalized my settings on P3D with the discovery of an ideal combination with Affinity Mask at 243 and texture quality on 6. The result is outstanding with everything maxed (except traffic = 0), I never had so neat and precise textures with no blueries at all and a constant FPS30 (blocked). Here on my favorite flight within Sicilly where the OpenLC textures are so nice and detailed.Thanks for watching !
