  1. another great set TT.

That tower is most likely used for observation, but lack of elerticity procludes it as an airport control tower. A lot of the model placement is a combination of photos scrounged from various sources and good ol artistic licence, I was a landscape artist for years painting Australian scenes in oils and I learnt early on that when painting a picture requires carefull repositioning and exclusion and adding in parts to improve the composition, with so little information to go on I rely on my artistic licence and a what would most likely be there approach, earlier strips I did like Tapini Kokoda and Guari which are in the microsoft airports list now I had great photos and was able to get very close to real life, but somehow I like these better as I am free to improvise when I think it will fit in and improve the experience.

Anyway I'm glad your enjoying them.

In case you didn't notice there is an update out for Pack 2 I notice some rocks were missing , so I fixed that yesterday and Version 1.01 is ready to download on Orbx Central now.

thanks again for showing the strips off I really do get a buzz from seeing peoples screenshots and reading their comments.

    cheers

  2. Thanks for the enquire, I have most off the freeware strips also, they will clash. To prevent this just remove the freeware duplicates, the freeware bundles usually have each strip listed separately, just delete the ones that clash, for the strips that can’t be separated you will need to remove the pack. However the next and future packages will be an extension of the existing area and more than likely will replace the ones you deleted.

I will be increasing the size of the packs to about 7 strips for the same price and hopefully include a large percentage of PNG strips, including West Papua.

    cheers

I will get out again with the Drone camera & see what I can find.

As regards quietness, MSFS 2020 has thrown up a multiplicity of sites & it can take awhile to get around them all, & of late I have been more focused on aircraft coming into the sim than scenery. But a KH gem will always catch my attention.☺️

Thanks T, for what it’s worth, when you guys make the effort to really look close at the scenery and then take the time to post screenshots It means a lot, it lifts it. above just doing a job and is very much appreciated.

I look forward to seeing more of your photography.

    cheers

Thanks for PNG Pack #1 Ken,

just flew the 3 of them in the H145 chopper, to get initial bearings,

these locations make for extreme flying & lots of planning,

& thanks Orbx for the Bundle with Idaho Deadly 3,

Ken, your continued development is greatly appreciated - it all enhances MSFS in a wonderful way...

Thank you , really glad your enjoying the strips, Milos deadly three makes a great companion to the PNG strips.

    cheers

Is there a T&G at each strip on the route?

    TTM

Mixture, depends on the strip, many are one way only, so full stop. This allows the group to stay close, we try to use live weather, gets interesting.

many use lnm with a transmitter turned on so you can see where most of us are, I use the VFR map in VR and can see all the aircraft in that. Andrew offers tips on approaches during the flight, this is helpful especially with sloped runways so you don’t try landing downhill.

Looking forward to flying with you.

    cheers

    Any particular aircraft flown??

Andrew usually recomends the suitable types, this week is a lot of short field stuff so the porter works well, you don't need an invite , after you read the rules and agree to the conditions , aqll you need do is go to the notams ,download the flt pln and any freeware that Andrew has recomended, then about 20 min before departure load in and load the flight pln usually west USA server then join the voice channel, any questions we can answer then and help if needed, all very friendly no pressure, there will be aussies Yanks canadians new zealanders and europeans from all over the place, all good blokes and will make you welcome
