The Needles is an airport, so above Global. I asked this question in an earlier post and there's a massive difference to the lighthouse there.

1. Below Global Airports - yes 2. If you use GB Pro you risk doubling up POIs etc so delete it as it is now redundant 3. I don't think anyone on these fora has Landmark files at the top. A recent beta install of XPL put those files below Global Airports.

Oh dear now that's reminded me of that old schoolboy joke: A poodle walks up to a scruffy mongrel and asks in a posh bark if he has a family tree. The mongrel replies "Na mate, we go anywhere!"

As it happens, I hold a Republic of Ireland passport, most of my family are Irish, from Tipperary and Galway, and my father had Flemish blood, so I am a bit of a mongrel actually!

I understand that the North of Ireland, along with Eire, is not included because the imagery was of too poor quality for ORBX's standards, and nothing to do with the political division etc of GB itself. I may be wrong... On the other hand I found this link: and then saw that ORBX had indeed got pristine ortho photos for Ireland (all of it) so that clarifies everything dunnit!

When you click the Orbx libraries as shown above you should get to the next screen shown below. If you haven't then someone from ORBX might advise you further as that's me done for the night now! Good luck Matey.

You don't seem to have the ORBX libraries (downloadable free on FTX Central). Just a heads-up for you, you'll need 'em sometime. Put them right at the bottom. Anyway, here's my suggested .ini file. Mainly cosmetic and not perfect but functional. Try disabling your scenery plugins one by one (OpenX etc etc) as I suspect the culprit is there somewhere. Start off by deleting all the scenery libraries except the ORBX and UK2000 ones and add them in one at a time and check. A pain but should eventually solve it. Let us know how you're getting on? That's more or less how I have it and it works for me just fine.

I think this is the right tack to take Jon. Is ORBX taking a pro-active stance within the airport authors to get conformity - which is so badly needed?
